You're obviously very young. I would suggest doing a lot of online research. Don't forget, you can't eat McDonald's fries anymore. :)

they would slaughter animals because they are hungry & don't care about the animals

If you are going lacto-ovo it's pretty easy. Start by leaving out the meat and replacing it with protein- and iron-rich plant foods - if you don't like soy, try lentils, chickpeas, nuts, wholegrains, seaweed, dark green leafy veggies (spinach, kale, silverbeet) (although vegetarians have no problem with protein, despite the common myth).

I became veggo a year ago and it has been so much fun! Once I broke out of the "meat and 3 veg" mentality, I really enjoyed exploring all sorts of plant-based dishes from all over the world - Indian dhal and rice, Japanese miso with noodles and pak choy, Turkish tomato buryani, Egyptian dukkah, Middle-Eastern falafel, Greek dolmades, just to name a few! And then you have all the fresh fruits and veggies as well. You will discover so many delicious and healthy foods!
I have found that vegetarianism is not deprivation, but the opposite!
Good luck.

buy vegetarian cookbooks. google online for vegetarian recipes. it's not that hard.

and why not tofu? have you even tried it? it's delicious when prepared the right way.

I hope you're aware that tofu is like flour. you can't just eat it raw.
it tastes just like whatever you marinate it in. it's so tasty, once again if you know how to cook or grill it the correct way.

learn how to make your own food. also there are soy products you can buy at the supermarket.. such as boca or morning star products.

you should by subsitute meat. I eat all kinds of soy meat which tastes pretty good.
Black bean burgers are pretty good and healthy and full of proteins.

For a couple of squirrels like you ... lots of nuts . . . you two sound like you really are a lot of fun. Too much fun to be vegetarians. Why don't you rethink this ...
