because their stupid and don't actually know what a vegetarian is.....

and lady you posted because its fish not meat fish is meat if it has flesh then ummm lets see its probably ******* meat...

hm..never thought about it. but im sure theres a reason.

haha your right about that!!

Some people are not too bright, I'm afraid. People don't get the vegan thing either!

because they are joe pescatarians.

I don't know. Fish are living creatures, too, and have a nervous system and everything. There ought to be a different word for people who eat fish.

What!!? you mean fish aren't vegetables?!!!

There are different levels of vegetarian. Look it up, I am vegitarian aswell.

Most people who eat fish do not call themselves vegetarians, but then I know of some people who eat poultry who call themselves vegetarians because they think "meat" only refers to red meat.

Fish has a lot of nutrients and oils that are VERY good for your health and brain. That may be a reason why they will eat fish but not red meat. Also people are crazy. its true.

I think that's what SEMI-vegetarians are; they eat "lean" meats (fish, possibly even poultry) while abstaining from the "heavier" meats (beef, pork, mutton, etc.).

Not sure how it makes vegetarians look bad, however it is inaccurate. Vegetarians don't eat animals but can eat animal byproducts like milk I believe. And vegans dont eat animals or anything from an animal. Regardless, they must not be real vegetarians if they eat fish. Maybe they think fish is healthy and don't consider it like other animals. I dont know

hmm? i dont knoww

Some people choose to be vegetarian for health purposes. Not just because they want to be tree huggers (No offense of course). But what they don't realize is that eating too much of anything (like fish for example) is not good for anyone. Balance is the key to health. Eat some meat. Eat some fish. East some vegetables. Eat some fruits. Be happy.

because fish doesn't have blood in the flesh like red meat, it's all on the inside. But your right, it is wring, fish are animals too.

I know!
People think vegetarians have exceptions to some foods. I don't eat fish or anything with animal tissue either. I've heard that some of the people who claim to be vegetarian eat fish because Jesus was a fisherman.

Some vegetarians don't consider fish being meat. If they are religious, they know the story that Christ gave out Bread and Fish to everyone in the land once. And Fish are not mammals ( to my knowledge) So they might not eat mammals.

fish is a meat.
i suppose to aviod being too specific on what they do not eat

Not all people do i know this girl and she is a vegitarian and she never eats any kind of meat not fish nothing she wont even sit on are lether cotch but some do idk why then they are vegitarians

i agree - people who eat fish are not vegetarian.
I don't eat any meat - but I do eat eggs, which is pretty close to flesh.

They're not. They're actually pescatarians (eat fish). Those who eat eggs are ovo-vegetarians. Those who eat dairy are Lacto-vegetarians. Those who eat dairy and eggs are lacto-ovo vegetarians. Those who do not eat or wear or in any way consume animal products are vegans.

because fish is not a meat

maybe they think that theres plenty of fish so why would it hurt to eat one

There are different types of vegetarians. I believe the ones that eat fish and eggs are called ova-vegeterians. The ones that don't are vegan.

vego's eat fish becuase fish are cold blooded and don`t have feelings, i think its fair enough

Wrong. Vegetarians do eat dairy, eggs and sometimes fish.

Vegans are the ones who do not eat any animal product.

There are degrees of vegetarianism.

ADDED LATER:
After reading your comments of the answers, it became obvious to everyone that you didn't really want an answer...you simply wanted someone to agree with you.

Not many do.

They used to call themselves vegetarians once removed. VOR: "we eat the animals that eat the vegetables". Over time it just got shortened to vegetarians. You know how it is.

There are many difference levels of vegetarian. The type that eat fish are probably people who do not believe that eating fish is a bad thing. It isn't technically meat, after all. There is also the lacto/ovo vegetarian who eats dairy products and small amounts of meat only to keep their body's nutrition up, but will not eat red meat so they turn to fish to provide what their body needs.
Those that don't eat fish are closer to vegan than vegetarian.

Jesus ate fish :)

so u mean ur vegan right?? cuz technically vegetarians don't eat "meat" but they eat chicken and fish but vegans don't eat anything with a face (i totally agree w/ u tho, i always wondered what's up with that...it makes no sense to me either...)

they dont think its wrong to kill fish but animals.
why would u want to be a vegetarian? lifes short anyways the animals in the store are already dead why let go to waist.
