As a vegetarian I already know what goes on, so it wouldn't have much of an effect on me, but I'm sure you'll inform (and possibly horrify) "normal" folks.

My suggestions:

Slow the speed (or add extra frames) during the "moment on the lips..." text, it goes by too fast. I didn't even get to read the words "Choose Vegetarianism" the 1st time through, & that's the most important part.

Make the audio (& maybe video) fade out at the end for a clean finish.

You could add a section about hormones and antibiotics used on cattle, or a section about poor health conditions / over-crowding / ecological effects.

Personally, I would use a different song in the background. Something much slower (maybe orchestral) and sadder to fit the subject matter.

For audio, I highly suggest...
Mad World by Gary Jules or
Hurt by Johnny Cash or
Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton

Don't use a red background for the text, it's too jarring. A simple black background with white text works best for visual media. Also, center the text.

Honestly, it's really good "as is", but a few minor tweaks (especially speed) can make it great.

I had a hard time watching that video, despite being a vegan. I don't like watching videos like that, it just feels painful. It makes you feel guilty.

I think it is fairly powerful, though it does generalize most dairies. My aunt owns 12 dairy cows and lives in a village of less than 300 people in Poland and none of the cruelties (short of her milking the cows herself) have occurred. However, it is a pretty common scenario in the American meat and dairy industry, which is why I do not eat meat and dairy and do not support those industries.

l fear that if you will be showing this at school, it might offend a lot of people. Being suddenly and brutally confronted with something people do every single day - like eat meat - might not have them go, "oh no!" and stop eating meat. In fact there might be a weird defense mechanism that will occur (we humans are funny creatures that way) that'll make them go "ew, gross" and "why the heck did you show that to us?" and you might get teased. I'm not trying to scare you, but I've seen a mixed bag of reactions from people when they get confronted with things like these. I think worst of all would be your own disappointment when you see just how few people will really care enough to change.

I think a small problem with it (or our society?) is that most people can't really identify with cows. They're not 'cute' once they're grown. In my opinion, if you look at them alongside other domesticated animals, they're downright ugly. Perhaps showing a few slides of some younger calves to elicit more sympathy from the audience?

I think you did a good job, some of your classmates might not be ready for it, but I am all for spreading awareness.
You could keep some of the longer text on a few seconds longer - for effect and because not everyone is a fast reader.

That is so sad..

Only one of the MANY reasons I went veg a few years ago..

No. I prefer the one of Whoopi Goldberg going to save the chickens.

But yours was almost as funny. Your next one will surely be better. You have potential.

It looks like every other run of the mill, peta propaganda, video I've seen.
