How do I transition from being a "lazy" vegetarian to becoming vegan, and eventually a raw foodist?!
Get a book called "Green for Life" by Victoria Boutenko... basically you get a serious blender (I have a 3 HP Blend Tec blender), and put in water, greens, bananas, and whatever other fruit you like, and turn it all into a smoothie and drink a quart of that every day. You will notice your energy level go up and a lot of health problems go away.
The book details lots of research and recipes.
You will need a good blender, a good dehydrator (I have the Excalibur), and a good food processor to pull off the transition to raw. I also have an EasyGreen auto sprouter. You can find a lot of good resources on line.
Get your protein from nuts and greens... stay away from soy because it is an endocrine disruptor.
Answers: Probably the easiest way is to start with the ol' green smoothie.

You should probably try being a good vegetarian first. Being vegan is somewhat difficult and a very large commitment, so if you don't have the best start, you are much more likely to relapse or fail. Get a good, healthy vegetarian diet established by eating a lot of healthy veggies, fruits, grains, nuts, seeds, etc and then make the transition to vegan. It will probably be much easier and you will be able to make better decisions.
