Operations and transplants - for vegans?!
Or bonemarrow/blood donation that is done when the donor is alive.
and are you against donkey rides at the beach, horse riding etc?
Answers: If your a vegan, and you were seriously ill, would you be against having any organ transplants because technickly there animal products.

I'm a veggie not a vegan but I can say that I wouldn't say no to antivenom if I was bit by a snake nor would I say no to anything that would save my life. I became a veggie for longevity and it doesn't make much sense to cut it short for being stupid.
It would depend on ones reason for being veg. I am veg because of how it makes me feel mainly, for me I would want to prolong my life... however I would not end someone elses life to prolong mine. Even as a meat eater I had issue with mass farming, but had much less issue with hunting. It is all personal choice.
Donated organs, bone marrow and blood are freely given by human beings who know what they are doing and want to help others.
So there's no dilemma there for a vegan.
If you are a "true" vegan you will do nothing to harm another animal, even if it means saving your own life.
