Hi!
Here are some good adresses for you in Ottawa. For natural food stores, here are my favorites: Natural food pantry on York street, in the Byward market. In front of it, you have the tea salon called TEA PARTY, they serve vegetarian meals and excellent teas. On Bank street, in the Glebe, you have a nice bakery called WILD OATS, they have a warm menu, very good and extremely affordable. You also have HERBS AND SPICES, a natural food store that also has warm vegan food you can eat on the premisces, on Bank street before the Glebe( You can take a very nice walk on Bank, between Wellington and the Lansdowne park) You'll have also another very nice natural food store called Rainbow foods, on Carling. For vegetarian/vegan restaurants, it's easy to find, there's a thai vegan restaurant on Bank( again!) passed Lansdowne park, across the Ottawa folklore centre( really not far, across the street.) You also can find vegetarian dishes on the menu in most restaurants. There are lots of Indian, thai mexican, japanese, chinese etc...

I hope these few infos will help! Have fun!

what do you mean a 'vegetarian store'? to me, being a vegetarian myself, a vegetarian is a person who doesn't eat meat (depending on what they consider to fit that catagory). If you're a Vegan, that's a totally different situation. But if you're a vegetarian, there is not official type of 'store' for vegetarians. If you're looking for nifty, niche based freak outlets, search for some health food store, that'll do (Montréal's a bit of a drive, but there's plenty of Vegan and Vegetarian lifestyle brands available there, I know, including Matt & Nat's. Check out their website: http://www.mattandnat.com/). Otherwise, good luck.

Most grocery store have a health food section and I have been to Ottawa and there are a number of health food and natural food stroes, here is a link to the ones in the YellowPages in Ottawa.
