If you eat dairy products and fish you are a pesco-vegetarian. They eat fish, dairy products, and eggs along with plant foods.

fish is meat that make you normal

you are neither

fish IS meat.. it is the flesh of a dead animal
Your diet is alot better and healthier than a meat diet.. good for you.. but it is not vegetarian, vegan or even a TYPE of vegetarian

You can call yourself a pescetarian with the understanding
that it is it's own category, and NOT a TYPE of vegetarian diet

pesco-vegetarian is an oxymoron...

People calling themselves vegetarian even though they eat fish are causing widespread confusion.. Get in a time machine, go back 10 years and ask a bunch of people if fish is meat.. They'd laugh in your face for asking such an easy question.. YES!

You are neither veggie or vegan if you eat fish. Some people would call that a Pescatarian. Pesca=fish in latin

well i dont think your either really. Your probably not a strict veggie i would say! By the way is a fish not an animal too? it feels pain too you know!

You're not vegetarian and you're not vegan.

You are neither a vegetarian nor a vegan.

As a fish eater you are a piscivore

you are neither, vegetarians do not eat meat or fish and vegans dont eat dairy, meat or fish.

A vegan is someone who eats nothing at all that is an animal or an animal derived product.
This means: No meat, No fish, No dairy, No eggs, No honey, No leather etc. etc.
You can't possibly be a vegan if you eat fish.
Some would argue that you are not a vegetarian if you eat fish either as a vegetarian doesn't eat meat or fish.
However, there are so many people nowadays that call themselves vegetarian and eat fish (to me, it's a bit like being a non-smoker that smokes cigars) that it has kind of become accepted and some people even assume that you eat fish if you say you are a vegetarian.
I don't know if this is actually a coined phrase or something my friends have invented between us but we call people that don't eat meat but eat fish a "pescatarian".

Ahhhh. I have just looked it up in wikipedia and it seems that the term does already exist so ....... in answer to your question..... you are a PESCATARIAN!!!
Welcome to your new label :)

You are pescatarian(not sure of the spelling). These are people like us who eat fish but no other meat.
It's fun cos it really confuses everybody when you say you're pescatarian, only found out I was this last year after over 20 years saying I'm a fish-eating vegetarian. It does help with the arguements too.

Um, you do realize that fish have feelings too? They may not be warm-blooded animals, but they are just as much living, breathing creatures.

And for that matter, there's plenty of scientific evidence that plants have cellular electrochemical responses that are virtually identical to the ones we have inside our brain cells when we suffer pain, not as complex but it's the same type of reaction (when a plant is cut, put in a bad environment, etc.). So you're just kidding yourself if you think a plant doesn't suffer horrific pain when you rip it apart and slice it up, or worse, boil it alive.

The best thing you can do is commit to eating only non-living things, like mud and seeds (which haven't developed into life yet). That's what some birds do, like Amazon Parrots.

As for me, I eat what nature expects me to eat. I'm thankful that modern industry makes it unnecessary for me to witness or deliver the death of some of the things that I eat, but I also realize that human beings without a natural balance in their diet are trying to fight hundreds of thousands of years of natural evolution.

I'm not saying the veggie/vegan lifestyle is bad -- everyone is entitled to do their own thing -- but just realize that the ideal fantasy of doing no harm to living creatures isn't really a practical reality of human existence. It's a noble ideal, but eventually you will need to make compromises. And once you do that, you're exactly the same as non-veggie/vegans who simply set the compromise line further out.

After all, most beef and chicken eaters wouldn't eat dogs or cats. So they have drawn a line too. (But in some cultures, fido and kitty are still on the menu!)

you may be upset at me for saying youd be better off eating chicken than fish they are actually less intelligant (did you know many chickens die because when it rains they look up and chock on the rain water that collects in their throut? The reason Im saying this is fish is high in many very scary toxins I've yet to meet a biologist that will eat fish any more than once a month, chickens also are small and primary consumers making it safe on the environment and no harm is done

Most vegetarians including myself believe if someone eats fish, it is not true vegetarianism, but someone called pescatarian. I count fish as animals as they are still living creatures, just not mammals. A vegan is someone who eats neither meat nor fish nor any animal products, i.e. milk and eggs.

No, you are neither.
You consume dairy products so you aren't vegan.

To consider yourself vegetarian you have to cut out fish.
People kill fish out of there hunger.

What makes them any different from cows?

I'd say that you are neither of these ! Vegetarians don't eat meat of any kind (including fish in my opinion) and vegans don't eat any products associated with animals. Why feel the need to class youself as something anyway ?

You are an omnivore as you still eat flesh

If you eat fish you are neither! But if you drop the fish you are a Vegetarian! Plus it is not a good idea to eat fish when you are pregnant! I am a vegan and eat no meat or any by product of animals such as, milk, honey, or gelitan!

You're a meat eater. Fish is FLESH, it's animal, so it's meat.

And if you haven't noticed? Fish suffer too. You need to read up on it, you're still a meat eater.

i dont think you are a veggie or vegan if you eat fish. other people may differ with me on this though.

But fish are just as living as a cow or a chicken.......but its not wrong, jesus did it.

you are veggie because you eat fish. vegans don't consume any animal products

You're a pesco-vegetarian...that's the term for a vegetarian who eats fish.

your a vegan .
vegans eat only fish, if they have to .
they are very strict also .

veggies do everything BUT meat .

Bambi............makes great sandwiches.
