Answers: If you are a vegan or vegitarian what simple guidelines do you follow? (ex. what to eat, what not to eat) Any specific tips or good recipes? I'd be really thankful for the answers!
get some literature about how to combine proteins - like eating beans and rice, or beans and corn - that will be a good source of complete protein.
Become familiar with nut based milks - good on cereal
learn to like soy beans.
don't try to be a vegan without doing some homework - make sure you get adequate sources of Vitamin B12, calcium, protein.

Very simple, don't eat meat or dairy.
vegetarians dont eat meat...vegans stay away from eggs, milk, dairy, meats and basically everything animal...
Veganism doesn't have "simple" guidelines, at least for the true vegan. I don't eat meat of any kind, fish, dairy, eggs or honey, and I don't wear leather, fur, wool, or other animal skins. But that's not just it - there are tons of hidden animal ingredients. Did you know, for example, Good 'n' Plenty contain carmine, aka crushed bugs? Bleh. And most glittery make-ups have fish scales! I have a list of probably 200 ingredients so far that I don't eat or touch, and that's just what I've compiled to date. This world is scary...
