It is nice to know that you have so many hobbies which have been inculcated during your growing up age. But now after getting known that your are also a very good cook than my mind rejoice that at least you dared to cook something special for someone special, as I guess it. Dear friend kind do me the favour and try it over the stove so that you may be able to know what pain it takes to cook a green bell pepper on stove. Keep it up.

i would boil it.. easiest way to cook a green pepper. over the flame would burn it.. in the oven would do fine it would take longer apposed to boiling it

First of all, cut the top part away, cut it in half and wash that thing until all the seeds are gone. Cut away white rests and cut it as big or small as you like.
Then, you can either cook it in a sauce (just dump it in) if you have one, or you can heat up some oil in a skillet and cook them in there. Just make sure you turn them frequently so that they won't burn.
What type of dish are you making?
If you want to go fancy you can make stuffed bell pepper, but that is a whole different story.

Slice it or dice finely and cook in a sautee pan with a touch of butter or garlic, medium heat. Keep it moving. Over the flame will burn without cooking and will NOT cook fast. The smaller you cut it, the faster it will cook.

Good luck!

I'm guessing you need roasted bell pepper.....put it over the flame until charred all around, put in in some type of container (paper bag, ziploc bag, airtight bowl) for 10 minutes and then the peel should come off pretty easy.

OR cut it up and saute it in some olive oil in a pan on the stovetop.
