Is Andrew Bird a Vegan/Vegetarian?!

Question: Andrew Bird is one of the few Americans i consider a redeemable human being, and part of what decides if they are or not has alot to do with their morals. They seem very existent with this man, and it would bother me if he weren't a vegetarian. I may come off as arrogant, but the things I value obviously mean something to me, and music (art in general) and all forms of life seem fundamental to our relevance on this planet. Seems a bit wierd to put so much thought into it, but thinking brings me a faint sence of comfort. Answers would be very appreciated.
