Think this is unfiar??!
Answers: do u think that this vid is a little unfiar. i mean i know its bad to kill animals but scaring people to became a vegitarian is wrong to me. my friends cried when they saw this becuase they kill animals and know there to scared to eat meat. what do u think. know im warning u that this vid has lots of blood and deals with killing animals and is NOT for the fiant hearted. or easily scared http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9As0YR0L...
I think anyone who would hurt an animal for nothing is cruel, but if you kill an animal for food its ok, but i would prefer that they killed the animals quick and with no pain, but i dont think alot do, but i still eat meat. Man was meant to eat meat.
When I realised it was PETA, I pressed my back button!
I hate the fact that 'they' think they have the right to speak for every vegetarian - like veg*nism is some kind of club or cult!
On whom do you think it's unfair? No-one is forcing you to watch the video. If it upsets you, perhaps you will think more about where your food comes from.
It is just more PETA propaganda. By the way - PETA really means People Eating Tasty Animals. That video would not and never will turn me off eating meat - I grew up raising animals for 4-H and eating them. I was raised on a farm and have never had any delusions as to where my food comes from.
I agree this vid is unfair, and i don't agree with most of what they had to say. I eat meat on a daily basis and i don't have heart disease,i certainly am not fat, and u cook your food so if it does have a lil poo in it, it wont hurt u. at least it doesn't taste like poo!
I don"t think it's any of there business what I eat and people who push there beliefs in that way should be beaten close to death I eat meat and that video makes me hungry
seems like you are attempting to convert people to veggies
you are no better than peta
How is it "scary" to become vegetarian? Lol i've been veg for three years. It was the BEST decision i've ever made. I feel great, i'm healhy, i'm not eating something that was tortured, and i'm not eating something that is rotting.
My health has improved by far.
And, i've seen all the videos hun. And you know what? It's to make people AWARE of what goes on in slaughter houses.
And it's not wrong to tell people the truth.
Those videos are real, and people should take it into consideration.
It was developed by PETA. What do you expect?
I am all for people having the right to choose what they want to eat and how they want to live, but freedom of expression doesn't give a person or agency the right to judge others or force their will on them.
Furthermore, any dietitian or nutritionist will tell you that the ideal diet is one of moderation (incorporating all food groups into your daily routine but not overdoing it). Additionally, the part about starting heart disease in children is total fabrication.
Is it okay to be vegan or vegetarian? YES.
Is it okay for PETA to push their biased agenda on you? NO.
That video was obnoxious. I'm a vegetarian and it offended even me. I don't like their attitudes "You're a monster if you eat meat >:O" Yeah, I do think its unfair. You shouldn't try to force your opinion down other people's throats.
How is it unfair? Should they have pretended that the animals don't bleed or feel pain? Should they have pretended that the animals are killed humanly? Did someone force you to watch it?
I don't see showing facts as scaring anyone into becoming anything.
If this gets someone to stop supporting the meat industry then I think it's great and has done what it is suppose to do!!
PETA is unfair - they sit on their high horse there but then they go around killing domesticated animals and pushing for the death of that poor little polar bear cub just because it couldn't be returned to the wild. Some of the slaughterhouse horror stories and videos ARE sadly true though, people will do anything that increases "efficiency." Support humane farming, http://www.hfa.org and think twice if you ever ridicule hunting, because just look at where the grocery store food comes from.
PETA just seems to be more concerned with seperating people from animals than with improving the lives of animals.
The video shows what actually happens to billions of animals every year in slaughterhouses and on factory farms. I think people have the right to know how their food is produced and to make informed food choices. Also, I'd say it's pretty unfair to force animals to suffer and die for the sake of our taste buds. At least with a video you can choose to ignore it. The animals aren't given the choice to escape from their torment.
The video shows the truth about what actually happens to animals. It is not unfair, it is the truth. I am glad to live in a place where the truth is not censored.
In today's world so many people live with blinders on. I don't mean to be rude or condescending, but where did you think your food came from?
I am currently reading a book that gives information about how unhealthy eating meat(as well as other foods-soda, aspertame, etc) is(hormones in meat, unsafe standards, etc). I choose to read this books, I want to expand my knowledge. No one forces me to read this book, just like no one forced your friends or yourself to watch the video. Some people do not want to live with blinders on, and choose to watch videos like the one you linked to. If you do not want to hear the truth, then do not watch videos like that.
If your friends no longer want to eat meat, then the purpose of that video was accomplished. Many people want to disassociate themselves with the slaughter process/animals deaths. Personally I think people should know how their food gets to their plate. Animals don't live on Old McDonald's farm, the slaughter of anything is bloody, disturbing, and hard to watch(for most people).
uh......yeah thats way wrong.........
the video just brings balance to a world where the otherside has been spewing propaganda for years. Like the pork industry's "the other white meat campaign"--trying to capitalize on people's learning that red meat in excess can have negative health consequences. Except, oh, that's right, nutritionally speaking, pork is red meat. Or those ridiculous "California Cows are Happy Cows" commercials. Sure, the PETA videos are edited to show the worst of the worst, but at least they are showing something resembling what actually goes on in the meat/dairy/egg industry--it's not like they are renting out a film studio and staging their footage. Notice, though, that the CA dairy industry doesn't show their actual dairy farms to show how "happy" their cows are--instead they have to use fake cows. The pork industry doesn't show it's pigs in its commercials to try to debunk the PETA folks. Neither do the "Beef, it's what for dinner" folks. If the animal products industry is so great and so humane, then where's there footage proving that? Seems like if they could prove PETA to be completely and totally wrong, they would, since those PETA videos have such a profound effect on so many people.
Of course it's not unfair ("unfiar"? I see on my keyboard that the "i" and the "a" are pretty far away from each other, so it must be a systematic error on your part).
Maybe the diet?
It isn't "scaring people into becoming vegetarians". It is showing you how the meat gets to your plate. People just ignore this like it isn't happening. People should see it. If it makes them go vegetarian, good. If it doesn't, so what? If it affects you enough to cry, you shouldn't be eating meat.
Note: I am vegan, and I do not support many PETA practices. I do support some of their ideas. But a lot of them are hypocrites, (ex. the president of peta, Ingrid Newkirk)...and a lot of them I would go as far as to say are even terrorists.
But it doesn't change the fact that this is REALITY. They didn't make this up to scare people. It's not some made up movie...this is REAL. Take it or leave it.
