Is it possible to eat meat without knowing and would i still be veggie?!

Question: Yes.Why? Because of the fact that NOT eating meat is a choice.I have never eaten meat, and I am proud.Unfortunately, there have been times where I THINK some of my friends may have thought that it would be funny to make me eat meat.Dang, were they wrong. It is a violation of privacy and you don't need to fear that you will lose your "vegetarianism"
I think every single vegie has once mistakenly eaten meat before. It is just impossible not to.

Yes, and yes :)

Yes. You are veggie because thats how you want to be.
I remember Applebees brought me a salad with ham, beef and bacon on it because I said I was vegan. Sheesh. I didn't eat it but still...

You can get animal products in lots of things you wouldn't think. McDonalds fries. Jello.

DIfferent people see this different ways. You decide how much control you want to have over your food by how much you eat out or which places you choose to eat at. It's best for you to decide for yourself how you feel about this. If someone else is making food for you, you will always run the risk of consuming meat, or having a cooking utensil used that was also used on meat products, etc. This doesn't make you a meat eater.

I think it's important to think about why it is you chose to be a vegetarian and figure out a game plan for how you want to live in society as one. Just keep in mind that you don't always have control of your surroundings.

yes&yes - it is a life style not a religion, yuou don't need forgiveness for a slip up

gudluk

When I was a teenager, some of my "friends" thought it would be funny to give me a dip that had dehydrated beef bits in and tell me the bits were dried bell peppers. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until I was halfway through.

Another time I was eating at P.F. Chang's and was given the chicken lettuce wraps instead of the tofu wraps (that I usually got.) I didn't notice the difference until the server informed me at the end of the meal.

In both situations I was not very pleased and I felt violated, but I didn't think I was no longer a vegetarian.

Vegetarianism is a CHOICE. If you didn't make a CHOICE to eat something and you took the steps to prevent it (asking about ingredients or whatever) then of course you're still vegetarian. You learn for next time and move on.

Yes because "veggie" is just a title. It is what we call people who do not want to eat meat, so they don't. If you eat meat by accident, it doesn't just throw that out the window. Of course if you continue to eat meat it would, but as long as you don't just keep eating it, you're still a veggie.

Why are you a Vegetarian then. Im Vegan and ask what is in everything before I order if Im dining out or anywhere, even when I go shopping I check out what is in everything, to show how much it means to me and the world.
