Willow Run soybean margarine?!
So, I was all excited about it this morning, and I kind of slabbed on a lot. So, after I ate it, I thought, heh, maybe it is fattening...gee....
I mean, is it really fattening? Like, bad fat or good fat? Is it unnecessary fat or essential fat?
Answers: Okay, I have to start off with this-Willow Run is absolutely delicious! It tastes just like dairy butter!

Willow Run is all trans-fat (the worst kind.)
You'd be much better off with Earth Balance. EB uses palm oil instead of partially hydrogenated soybean oil. Their palm oil is sustainably harvested as well. EB comes in a tub or in sticks.

Edit to address the comment below mine-
Regular smart balance is not vegan. It contains whey and probably some other animal derivitives. It also has lots of unpronounceable words on the label (That's never good.) The debate is still up on smart balance light. The label appears to contain no animal ingredients but the company will not address whether it is vegan or not. Earth balance is made by the same company, and earth balance is the only product(s) that the company will label vegan. Earth balance also doesn't have any wierd ingredients. Just oils and salt. (And obviously no trans fats/hydrogenated oils.)
The only product that I have found to no contain trans fat or huge ammounts of salt, saturated fat and cholesterol is smart balance buttery spreads. There is no hydrogenated oils in them, and they are non dairy. They don't taste bad, in fact their buttery spread won the 2007 best taste award.
