I had this problem also. I get paid twice a month, and I just kept letting vegetables go bad. So I started buying boca products, frozen veggies, and canned veggies, as well as the fresh ones because of course they're the best. But the easiest solution of course is to go shopping weekly. I just don't have time for that. I've found the frozen and canned veggies to be a lifesaver. Honestly.

so honey, don't buy for 2 weeks. buy for one.

We get paid every 2 weeks, too, but I only buy for one. Keep in mind, if fresh is too hard for you, there are zillions of ways to eat veggie and not have fresh foods. Though it's preferable, canned and frozen can be fine, too.

So far as recipes? Give us some veggies to play with. Personally, I love zucchini, onion, broccoli and carrot stir fried in a little bit of margerine (trans fat free) and soy sauce (just enough for flavor) and tossed in some nice steamed brown rice. =)

I eat a lot of different kinds of vegetables and many different soy products. At my local grocery store, they have Morningstar products and you can find faux burgers, chicken, hot dogs, etc. It can get rather expensive though, but it's healthier than red meat.

Google "flexitarian diets". I think you will find a way to eat healthy and still include a lesser amount of meat in your diet ...

Vegetariansism the flexitarian way is a lot less stressful, no supplements needed, healthy and you can lose weight. Plus it never puts you in a socially awkward position.

You should be eating as much produce as an omnivore anyway. The price of being vegetarian/vegan and buying produce is irrelevant.

I like Gardenburger and Morning Star Farms. They are both delicious. Boca i'm not too crazy about.

Produce is cheaper than meat for the most part. But, you're going to have to go to the store more than every 2 weeks unless you cook dishes that can be frozen, like vegetarian soups, vege lasagna and stuff like that.

Pay no attention to the poster up there who eats meat but still wants to be called a vegetarian (doesn't make sense). They are part of a group of trolls here whose agenda revolves around harassing vegetarians and vegans and encouraging everyone to eat meat.
