How can I manage?!

Question: Even if I'm eating healthy food I have trouble not binging. It's even worse if I allow myself to go outside of my limits for calories, cause then it gets out of control. How can I eat healthy vegan foods and maybe stop worrying about the calories? cause I just bought a really good vegan cookbook and want to try some of the stuff for my upcoming b-day, but don't want to be eating too much or too many calories. I'm consumed with nutrition and want to stay "in-line". if anybody knows a site that lists calories of vegan with a vengeance's recipes or how to contact the author etc...that'd be great.

Only you know what you can handle. To make it easier, eat more whole foods and fewer recipes & processed foods. It's much easier to input 2 cups of strawberries vs. a falafel into Fitday.

A healthy vegan meal should consist mostly of fruits and veggies with some form of protein (ie nuts, tofu, fake meat, etc.)

If you eat a healthy vegan diet with plenty of protein and variety in your food you have no need to count calories. Even though some vegan recepies might not seem super low fat or low cal, it's because your general diet is low in calories. For example, nuts are high in fat, but in a typical vegan diet you aren't getting a lot of fat other places. You don't need the calorie info for vegan with a vengance. Just try out their stuff. Try working on portion control, it sounds like that might be your issue and not necessarily what you are putting in your mouth.

I'll bet the author of your book is on this website. Shes written most of the books on the subject and shes really great!
