Fruit

An avocado is a fruit, so yes, it is of vegetable origin rather than animal.

Technically, it's a fruit. It would probably be considered a vegetable by many people since it isn't sweet.

It's a fruit but I'd not recommend trying to juice it. Although I've never tried it.

I think its kind of both.

its a fruit

it is a stone fruit

Avocado grows on a tree, therefore it is a fruit

fruit

a fruit, but it is indeed vegetation.

Avocados grow on trees, and in botanical terms are considered to be fruits.

But, similar to a tomato, in culinary terms (because of the flavor being more savory than sweet) it is thought of as something of a vegetable. Avocados are pretty unique, the mild flavor lets it be used in both savory and sweet dishes (sweet dishes more so in countries other than the U.S.).
