How to be a Vegan Vegetarian in Iceland???!

Question: We are seriously thinking about moving from the states to Iceland where it is dark all the time in the winter and bright all the time in the summer and not very hot there and overcast a lot. I am a vegan and I like the way I feel and such ad would want to stay that way. I also have a passion for helping others get well through raw foods. Though Iceland does have vegan restaurants, the food I believe would be expensive as it is grown in greenhouses with lights and also imported. So, how can this be done? Would I need a greenhouse, is there good money to be made there??? I would really like Icelanders to tell me about their opinion.

Thanks,

Shawn

If you will live and work in Iceland then the food prices won't be a problem for you. Iceland is expensive for tourists, because they don't have an income in proportion with Icelandic prices, but when you live here you can afford to be on a Vegan diet.

Vegetables grown in Iceland tend to taste better and have less chemicals in them than imported ones. Almost all fruits in Iceland are imported, but they're not that terribly expensive compared to Icelandic salaries.

idk i dont live in iceland though that would be fun and sorry bout the moving thing cause u lose all of ur friends or r u movin there cause u have no friends?

Don't they have grocery stores in Iceland? Which are you a vegan or a vegetarian? They're quite different.

A lot of the vegetables in the U.S. are imported so I'm sure they are in Iceland too. You shouldn't have any trouble with your diet.
