Vegetarians and Vegans....any personal experience with the George Foreman grill?!

Question: Hello fellow veggies! I was wondering if any of you have a George Foreman grill. If you do, do you like it? What do you cook on it?
I love the flavor and taste of grilled foods just as much as the next person, but I can't see myself spending a sum of money just to fix my faux hamburgers or grill some veggies.
I don't eat cheese, so I really wouldn't use it to make panninis and the like.
I guess I just want to know:
1- do you have one?
2- do you use it a lot?
3- what types of foods do you fix on it?
Many thanks!

1. Yes I do have one.

2. I use it about once a week.

3. I use it to grill zucchini slices, portabella mushroom caps, small mushrooms, eggplant slices... I really like using it. If you grill veggies on it sometimes liquid pours off of them so I like to keep that for broths, like when I grill zucchini or mushrooms, I like to keep the liquid that drips from it and use it for making a sauce or I use it for sauteeing (for instance, I pour the few tablespoons of broth in a pan, a tablespoon of vegan margarine, and a couple handfuls of leafy southern greens - and I cook them down and make sort of a southern greens type thing).

They're absolutely fantastic u can put anything on them, courgettes are lovely on it and giant mushrooms :) but they are really fab for making paninis with any filling, definately worth trying!

Have fun :) x

1. Yes, I have one.
2. No, I do not use it very often.
3. I cook soy bacon, chicken, hot dogs, etc. on it.

I do have one, but, after the initial 'ooooh, new toy, what shall we do with it'....it has been resigned to the kitchen cupboard, like all our other gadgets! lol I mainly used it for Quorn, and vege bacon, as well as paninis.
I found mine took up alot of counter top space, but didn't actually have much cooking space on it.
I am thinking about getting another one though, but one with removable plates this time, so I can clean it 'properly', with the other dirty dishes!

Ooooppps! Rib Eye steak for me Shelby, not trying to offend you here. I guess I got the wrong category of "food".

Have a wonderful day my friend!

Gerry (at lunch on the go).

Yes I have one
I use it all the time most days in fact
salmon and chicken breast and burgers is what I make on it
Mostly salmon steaks and tuna steaks.....
Peace Out...
