Most organic vegetables are fertilized with rendered animal parts and manure. If you've chosen to be a vegetarian from an ethical standpoint, you might have a problem with the animal rendering. But since you aren't eating the actual animal parts, the produce is still vegetarian.

It is definitely not vegan to eat those veges though.

  • Wow uhmm.. I'm not really sure but I don't think alot of vegtable growers fertalize their crop with blood and that stuff..I think pretty much all veggies are mostly "organic"

Wow this is news to me!!!

Being veggie keeps getting harder and harder the more I look into it!!!

You're washing everything that is on it off, dirt, organic "pesticides", and whatever else. Not everyone uses manure or any kind of fertilizer. My parents grow all sorts of veggies in their garden without any kind of sprays or fertilizers, and of course they need to be rinsed before consumption.

Organic has nothing to do with vegetarianism.

Regarding the e-coli on the spinach, you can thank your factory farms for that. That was from runoff and cross contamination. Way to go. :)
