Will vegetarians who eat meat go to hell?!

Question: Alas, I've fallen from vegetarian grace!
In the past weeks, I've discovered that I really rather like bacon, corned beef, roast chicken, and tuna.
Should I brace myself for some sort of spiritual disaster?

Oh...you are DAMNED! (just kidding.)

I know many veggies that have strayed away from the flock. They're still alive, so I can't say whether or not they are burning in hellfire....but I think they'll be OK in the afterlife.

Examples:
My formerly Ovo-Lacto buddy now eats fish, shell fish, and mollusks. He's Jewish too, so he's also battleing a need to keep Kosher.

My sister-in-law has gone from no meat or fish, to fish, and now to fish and occasional chicken. Pregnancy did her in. She broke down one night and had a Big Mac Attack. Red meat is a rare item on her diet, but the fish and chicken are pretty much staples.

A co-worker of mine will only eat native or wild fish. He doesn't eat meat, but he said he'd easily eat meat that was hunted. He's mostly opposed to commercial farming, not so much a vegetarian.

If you have a lot of veggie buddies, then you'll have to deal with them...not unlike when Joey Lauren Adams' character announced she was no longer a lesbian to her lesbian pals in "Chasing Amy."

Meat eaters, like myself, will applaud your decision to consume flesh. Personally, I don't think I could live without bacon. However...ease back into the meat eating. Too much too soon will give you a case of zoo-a_s_s!

What it boils down to now is how well you deal with peer pressure.

No, vegitarianism is not a religion it is a choice of foods.

No. why would they go to hell?

a hhaaa .... yu wont go to hell !!! youll just stop being a vegetarian and believe that its ok to eat animals .. :)

no

I was a vegetarian once, then I saw a sign...it said "McDonalds"

Since it's not a sin to eat meat...you should be fine, it's your heart you should be worried about.

depending on your religion and beliefs.

although i believe most vegetarian religions such as Sikhism, and Hinduism, don't believe in heaven of hell.

You'll probably reincarnate into a cockroach.

no, god's cruel too.

No.. but your hip size may go all to hell!!!

No, it is just a choice of appetite.

I think you'll be fine.

A corned beef sandwich with mustard... MMMMMMM!

Of course not!! Eat your protiens if you want, just do it in moderation- you will only live once

No, becoming a vegetarian and then stop does not mean you will go to hell. It just means you start eating meat. I guess lol. I mean its your decision, all I know is you WON'T have spirtitual disasters.

Vegetarianism isn't a religion. It's a personal health choice about your diet. So, basically...You're just fine. Though if you want to view it as a religious extension then um...Sorry for your misfortune. Yes you should maybe brace yourself when you pass away decades from now.

No....

No! Of course not!
God put animals on earth for a reason-- to be eaten.
Meat is great... in moderation.
But, really, it doesn't really matter what you eat as long as it isn't harmful it your body.

No, not at all. Vegetarianism is not a religion, it's just food. You just might not want to call yourself a vegetarian anymore.

I don't believe in any spiritual connection w/ meat eating.

If a person that only eats vegetables is a vegetarian, does that make cannibals humanitarians?

I'm not a vegetarian because I love animals ... I hate plants.

No, I think you'll be ok

It's only a personal choice. Your spiritual life is not going to be affected by it unless you're part of a religion that requires vegetarianism. Eating meat is probably a healthier way to go so long as you moderate your intake of it. It sounds like you're already back into meat, but try to introduce your body to it slowly. If you haven't eaten meat in a while it may take your body a little bit of time to adjust to digesting it. Just a thought.

Yes . . . as I'm sure the truly religious, all-knowing people on Yahoo Answers will tell you . . . good luck!

so ein absoluter unsinn!!!

Uh WTF.... no you will not go to hell and vegetarianism is a fukked up idea that ppl believe is a healthier way to live. Meat is an essential element to the body mainly the protein that our bodies use to manufacture muscle. Now go get u a steak and throw on some A-1.

there is no such thing as "vegetarians who eat meat"..it's impossible because vegetarians don't eat meat, therefore someone who eats meat is not a vegetarian..catch my drift? :D ..so no, non-existing things wouldn't go to "hell". xoxoxox

NO! Dont' worry, god made meats so that you could break the veggy law! Don't worry, it's totally fine! Just eat that meat, honey!

Not the vegetarian atheists...

I heard somebody say that " Heaven is good because there will be no vegetarians who will be in hell"...
I suppose, vegetarians say the same thing about meat eaters..

Seriously, at least you know you have that option of becoming a beggie again if you rediscover your reasons why you went veggie in the first place..

Hmmm. i guess some one has taken you on a guilt trip and they've been a good driver !
relax buddy. enjoy life and eat what you will. Jesus ate meat and fish too !

Trust me on this one - what you eat has nothing to do with ones eternal status and where they are going to spend eternity.

There is alot more to it than that.....

I could explain further - but this isn't the section for such discussion.

No, there is no hell.

Sorry you lost the whole vegetarian kick. So many end so quickly, unfortunately. I hope you decide to try it again someday.

But depending on your spiritual belief, if you do believe in a heaven and hell, well, I think most people are doomed to the latter. I believe in karma, I think my vegetarian diet might be good for it. Might.

no you'll go to bacon heaven though!

No you wont go to hell, you can eat meat and still be healthy : ) that is whats most important you vegetarian devil :)
