Vegematarians! What do you eat on your Veggie Burgers?!

Question: Im throwing a BBQ and like 10 of the 90 people coming are vegetarians. I planned on just doing Boca burgers and the Boca Chikn patties, but I dont know if people put the same toppings on meatless patties?

Also, if you have an economical (cheap) alternative to Boca burgers that maybe tastes better, I'd love to hear your suggestions!

Most vegetarians put the same thing on their "burgers" as everyone else. You should be fine!

You can make your own veggie burgers, but it's honestly less of a hassle just to go out and buy them. A bulk food store like Costco might have boca burgers in bulk.

You can also try grilling portabella mushrooms! They might not be cheaper than the burgers, but it's definitely worth looking in to! Have a great party!

lettuce, tomato and mayo on mine. love boca don't go cheap on that one.

Don't be shy!
You said you're throwing a party, so I assume lots of friends?
Just write them an e-mail and ask how thy like one or another food prepared. they will see your interest, and may even come to help you:))
It shouldn't be patties, you can grill all kinds of veggies - fresh and marinated, spiced and bland..
But those friends will be the best help for you , all there is, just ask:))

you could always just make your own veggie burgers.
there are some great recipues on the net

I like BBQ sauce on my veggie burgers.

I don't think there are cheaper burgers that taste as good as Boca burgers. There are some that are as good for the same price, but none I've found that are cheaper.

I usually do quite boring burger toppings for Boca burgers - ketchup, pickle, onion, lettuce, and sometimes cheese. On Chick'n patties I usually ate lettuce and tomato and that's it. My sister loves mayo on them, though.

I think most people do the same with a veggie burger that they do with a meaty burger... :)

Morningstar Farms burgers are delicious! As well as Amy's California burgers but they are expensive. Buy some boxes of Morningstar Farm Burgers. They come in several varieties. Buy a couple different flavors if you think you need to! They all taste great. I prefer them over boca burgers.

I put olive oil on the bun and broil it until its crispy on the outside & chewy in the middle. Then pan fry the burger til it's warm. Then put it on the bun with vegenaise, mustard, onions, and green olive slices. So. Freaking. Good.

BACON BUTTIES GO DOWN WELL-------------TOP CHEF

I like Morning Star garden veggie patties a lot better than Boca, but that's just me. I like to put a tablespoon of basil pesto on top of mine and mozzarella (melted). Yum!

The same thing that other folks have on their hamburgers I suppose. Catsup, onion, lettuce. BUT especially TOMATOES & MUSTARD!!!!

cheese!!! i like putting american and swiss for the fact that im not vegan i think its okay

Scientists at King’s College London, and the University of Newcastle will inject human DNA into empty eggs from cows to create embryos known as cytoplasmic hybrids, which are 99.9 per cent human in genetic terms.

the other white meat

I like most everything on mine. ( cheese, onion, mustard ect) Don't be offended the strict veggies won't eat a veggie burger cooked on the same grill as the meat. Its one of my pet peeves.

i love boca burgers but im not vegan so i put bacon and american chese on mine.
