Us it wrong of me to hate some people?!
Then a Vegan walks in off the street and starts demanding.............I f**king hate them.
Luc P the chef asks. Is it wrong to hate some people?
Answers: I've studied, I've bleed, I've sweated, stressed, burnt myself, practiced technique hours on end, abused people who did not deserve it ( maybe a little they did ) I've worked 90 hr weeks, slaved and pushed on for 15yrs doing all this. To perfect my craft, to be the best I can, to create new and exciting things, to give people more than they expect... every single bloody day i do this.

ok, well, i understand your issue somewhat. i think it's only fair for a vegan to call ahead and ask the restaurant if they have vegan options, or to request in advance if special dishes need to be made because that slows down the whole process and makes everyone's dinner take longer. it's rather inconsiderate to just show up and expect the chef, in the middle of serving 50 other tables, to whip up something original and from scratch just for you.
for those who do want to try to compromise, though, i have heard of restaurants sending out a basket of bread to the table with the vegan, in order to keep them happy while they wait a bit longer for their custom-built meal. since there's really no way to stop these people from just showing up unannounced and throwing the kitchen into a frenzy, i suppose this is a way to cope with them, although that doesn't mean they are still not being inconsiderate by not calling ahead.
people with entitlement complexes make me itch. but they exist in every group, to be honest.
to truly hate someone you must love them first...to hate a vegan off the street you dont know..wastes too much time and effort...how do you hate someone you dont know??and besides...most Chefs i know who are great chefs...have no problems saying no to a customer....had a lady order a huge filet then ask the Chef to butterfly it and cook it well done...he told her he wouldnt ruin a steak that way and refused to cook it anything more than medium!!she took the medium...lol
Wow, gather yourself together a little bit.
What if it was someone that was Jewish and had to observe rights of kosher? They would have "demands" too.
What if it was an allergic child? They'd have "demands" as well.
If you're a chef you should be mature enough to be able to create food that the public wants, and you should ENJOY challenges and creating food for your captive customers. It seems like you have lost the joy of the art if you cannot handle customization of your menu, and especially if you hate customers that have dietary restrictions.
And hate is something that isn't to be taken lightly or tossed around. Maybe you were irked or annoyed, but if you could REALLY hate a person because they have dietary restrictions (and completely blow away everything else that person has to offer) then I feel VERY sorry for you. I don't think I have hated more than 2 or 3 people in my entire life, and one of them had raped someone I love, and the other 2 have also done horrible things to my family, loved ones or myself.
Why don't you apply your passionate feelings to a good use? Maybe read some books as to why people are vegan and try to walk in this person's shoes for at least an hour. Why don't you open your horizons and mind and accept that some people are different and that it's OK to be different?
You are biased and prejudiced, it seems like. You can't just be selectively accepting - blacks are OK at my restaurants, Muslims are OK, but no vegans! - that's just ridiculous. You either are biased or are not. I suggest you realize that being vegan isn't because we want to ANNOY people but because of many factors, including the fact we don't want to support the meat and dairy industry.
You're asking vegans if it's ok to hate them? That seems a little confrontational and unlikely to get an unbiased response. If you are a chef (is that what your rant is about?) and do not work in a vegan/veggie restaurant, just tell them that you don't have vegan food, or try boiling some noodles and throwing tomato sauce on top. Geez, you didn'teven state an issue...
It seems a meat-diet makes you agressive.
We've suspected that for years, thanks for proving it
I suspect your hatred is eating away at you inside. It'll be a race whether the hatred or heart desease gets you first.
that s called being a human,we are capable of loving & hating.it does not matter as long as we have control of our emotion.we can love someone for ever but when it comes to hating terms we should be able to make it as short as possible cause this emotion is like "poision" it won`t be good for our health or people around us.have some faith on yourself you are a strong hard working person,(without abusing the others) u can make it again
no madder what they did you should always forgive them
learn 2 spell of i will shag u the length of the street so in other words plz dont learn to spell
I cant help but think you are not really a chef, just a troll.
You can hate anybody you want as much as you want. What you do with that hatred is another issue altogther. If you act rashly, then the police may have to have a word or two with you.
PS wondering why you would go postal just because sombody demands some veggies and such. Joachim Splichal, a world top rated and one of my favorite chefs is well known fo his mastery of the potato. His side dishes are as popular as his main courses. Joel Rubochon, another favorite chef and recognized as one of the top french chefs in the world is equally well known for his vegetable MAIN and side dishes. Frankly, your tantrum suggests to me a severe limitation on your abilities as a chef despite your implied hard work and dedication. To be recognized as a top chef you should be skilled in all manner of food preparation, cooking and ingredients, not just with meat. It should have posed a challenge not illicit hatred.
PPS not all "cooking" demand heat. so raw food preparation should not have been a problem either.
You don't say what this vegan (no need for a capital letter!) was demanding. Was s/he actually making demands, or asking 'Is it possible...?'...big difference.
To make unreasonable demands of harassed waiting staff is not reasonable; to expect that a skilled chef will be able to turn his/her hand to vegan cuisine is not, really. To ask 'do you have anything suitable for vegetarians/vegans?' is not usually unreasonable - the answer, 'No, sorry, we don't' is polite and acceptable and not unexpected.
Most vegans will ask in advance whether a restaurant can accommodate them, and most make the effort. Many chefs seem unable to do more than a risotto even with more than 24 hours notice - but that's ok. More than ok was the chef in a Bath hotel who with a few hours notice, and when I'd said 'a salad would be fine' because I didn't want to be a nuisance, saw it as a challenge and produced a wonderful three course vegan meal which my companions envied. Now THERE was a confident chef who'd perfected his craft.
Hate who you want, but hating a whole group of people because one of them asked for something you couldn't provide seems a little bizarre.
its ok, ever since i moved to the USA i hate hippies, which are mostly vegans...they stink, they look sick, and think they are better than everybody. they ruin everything and they dont even realize it,

32 years old means you were a chef before you got out of high school. How does that work?
It's not wrong to hate people. Everybody hates somebody. I'll bet a lot of people hate you for instance.
You are a troll, not a chef and you fool only yourself and, from what I've read, you're an embarrassment to athiests (and undoubtedly your parents) too.
