The David fast...what?!

Question: are some foods to eat while you are on the David fast. Eating is becoming so boring. I am fasting until Feb 1 and I have run out of options of what to eat. Can I eat veggie burgers (without the bread of course), tofu etc...

What foods you allow on a Daniel fast can differ depending whether you are doing this for religious or health reasons. Also, note that if you are doing it for religious reasons, the main focus isn't just to eliminate certain foods. The focus should be on doing good with the time and money saved by that elimination. Example: more time spent in prayer, more money given to the needy. Every time you feel hungry or deprived, it's a reminder that meeting the desires of our physical body is not the most important thing in the world.

That said :) Try switching out your condiments instead of your main items...try different salad dressings, or check out an ethnic cuisine you are unfamiliar with. Asian, Middle Eastern, South American, Carribbean etc. These cultures have a wealth of seasonings that can add new life to boring food.
