This site lists both companies that DO and DO NOT test on animals:

(Very interesting, and this helps put a lot of questions at rest)

Here are some cosmetic lines that do not test on animals that I like:

Other animal-friendly products:

A LOT of clothes are vegan. As long as it's not leather, fur, silk, wool, suede or satin you're in the clear! No animals suffered to make it. That means literally close to 90% of clothing in stores is vegan. Cotton, rayon, polyester, spandex (not exactly fashionable but vegan!).

You can find great vegan shoes online or even in stores. Payless Shoe Source in the US carries a lot of great vegan shoes. Just check online before you go in - I bought some great fake patent leather ankle boots from Payless.

JC Penney and other stores like that carry vegan shoe options as well. I checked online before I went and bought winter boots that were 100% man made material.

For boots that are more "edgy", rock, goth or punk, there's a company called Demonia that sells them online or in (if you must) Hot Topic... many of their shoes are vegan, though look convincingly like leather - their combat boots are fantastic. I own four pairs of shoes from this company and highly recommend it. Their shipping policies are great. Check online and check the label on the shoe to be sure, it will say 100% man made material.

The makeup from the Body Shop is definitely animal friendly

I would think that the minerals type of makeup is animal friendly....

You need to learn what companies test on animals and which don't. Then learn to read ingredient lists.

Well there are several brands that are very good. My personal favorite would be Smashbox, simply because it is a professional line with a wide array of choices.

Peta2.com has a list of the majority of crulity free makeup and body products!
