Don't you love living in America where you have a choice...?!
Seems a lot of other cultures don't have that luxury.
Answers: between eating meat or going veggi or vegan?
Seems a lot of other cultures don't have that luxury.
Not only do I have the choice, I have the freedom to think "vegans" are nuts.
I'm veggie and nobody can stop me
yeah its kewl
no it sucks, everyone has choice
sure do! God Bless America!
Hahah, i dont live in the United States
I live in The United Kingdom and I have a choice.
That's the beauty of being American.
I hate living in america, even your salad comes with chicken....
I used to be a veggi before i moved here, but it was impossible , cant imagine what its like to be a vegan here, must be torture....
In europe its a 1000 times easier.
Typical amerian thing to say...
Growing up in the 40's and 50's I had to eat what was available. I hunted a lot and ate a lot of rabbit stew, Squirrels don't have much meat on them but will do. I ate a log of fruit and berries from the fields I was working in. Grapes don't work too well on an empty stomach though, Give you a very bad case of diarrhea.
I love living in Americas because of 5,000,000 other reasons then just eating.
wot r u goin on about.i live in the u.k. and if u don't wanna consume milk products or wear cow hide then that's up 2 u.or me.i don't believe there is any prejudice's regarding wot food u eat or don't. as it happens i believe we're carnivores.we have our eyes to the front telling me we're predators.i njoy meat.but that's me.
Yep, it's vegibly delicious... LOL @;~}
This is why you love america? because you don't have to eat meat?
what have you been smoking?
no. we should all be veggies
I love living in the U.S. because of the ability to choose a lot more things then just food.
And in a lot of places, you don't have a choice to actually eat meat, if you're poor.
What's the point of this question? All you seem to be pointing out is - A) America is the only place with a luxurious standard of living. B) You feel sorry for non-Americans, and C) Americans have so much fantastic stuff going for them that the vegetarians living there are borne of self-indulgence and decadence.
Many people are forced to eat a vegan diet because animals and their flesh are very expensive in a reality-based economy.
Living in America is great until you get sick, then you are pretty much on your own, unless you're loaded.
In the States, we like to punish people for getting sick, emotionally, physically and financially.
I love america but we are loosing our freedoms slowly. I cant even smoke a joit which is a weed. But alcohol which is the worst drug is illegal. America is not the best country but its a great counrty....Our goverment lies to us over and over and we have wachos who think god runs america..This is not a christian nation its a nation of free religion!
i was a veggie in Scotland, India, England. and now America. I have alway traveled to over 30 countries for business, and vacation.
I gotta tell ya, being veggie in America is harder then being veggie in most countries, not because of the lack of choices, but because most people in other countries have a value of vegetarianism, that is often lacking in the American society! -
OH YeAH,
I love eating MEAT it is so juicy especially file minion a juicy steakwrapped in bacon yum
I think the question would have better been posed as "Living in a well developed country, socially, philosophically, and financially."
I think the comparison he meant to make was from America to Ethiopia, and other countries with limited food supplies. We have the choice to eat what we would like in most cases. Unfortunately, we take it for granted and rarely think of the Third World Countries. This is the first time I have heard anyone pose a question like this. I find some solace not all people are as stupid as it appears!
I am from Australia and choice is the word - with so many choices you would think more people would choose to be vegan or vegetarian.
Yes living in the US is a wonderful thing except for the scumbags that won't get a decent job and then complain about the health care here.
I don't live in America
Yes being able to choose exactly what we want to eat is a luxury most of the world doesn't have.
Excellent answer Krister.
Fine show of compassion once again Flexitarian'Vegan' - poor people don't deserve medical care, eh?
