Can rice milk ALWAYS be used in place of cow's or soy milk?!
Answers: In baking, or for things like cereal, yes. The only problem I've ever had is with some instant puddings, the puddings don't set up right if you try to make pudding in one big bowl with plant milk . . . they are more likely to set up correctly if you put them in individual serving dishes like the directions tell you to do.
of course not, mostly because it tastes foul. but it's chemistry wil not allow it fufil many roles that real milk plays
yes
It's only called rice milk because it wouldn't be anywhere near as appealing if they called it rice juice. In order for it to be milk it requires udders. It's not interchangeable with real milk. You can, however, find lactose free milk, if that is the problem. Soybeans also do not have breasts.
hey try almond milk, its great! tastes better then any milk, and has loads of good stuff, better than milk milk!
Why not?
Stephen, some people choose not to drink the milk of another animal because a. we think it's gross and b. we don't want to support an industry that profits off of exploitation.
Cows must be pregnant in order to produce milk, and their milk is not intended for humans but for their CALVES.
I have found I can successfully cooked with Rice, Almond & Soy milks.
The info on making pudding was interesting. I don't make pre-packaged puddings (wheat allergy). Not all people on milk free diets are allergic to Lactose, I am allegic to Casien which is the Protien in Milk not the sugar in Milk, I would use it any way after learning all the truth on Big Business Dairy Industries it not healthy.
You have gotten some good advice so far.
