Would it be bad for me to eat a Boca veggie burger every day?!

Question: I like how they taste, I'm a vegitarian without much time to cook and veggie burgers are so easy to make, and they keep me full, being barely any calories. But would it be bad to eat one basically every day??

Contrary to Skully's "opinion", the "fact" is Original Boca Burgers aren't that high in sodium and there isn't much filler either.

You could eat more than 8 Boca Burgers in a day and still not pass the RDA of sodium. A burger equalling 12% of your RDA. These #'s are using the Original Boca Burger and can be verified at their website.

The soy protein in the burger is what suppresses your appetite but has also been shown, in some research, to be unhealthy in large quantities.

You could remove any doubt about the health of vege burgers by making your own and freezing them in single burger portions. The one time effort would be rewarded tenfold in health.

What a crazy question. Read the label. Anything in there look dangerous?

uh, you are what you eat... so... uh, no. it's all good. you should check out the sodium though, you might turn into a pillar of salt. i've seen it happen before ha

No, but they do have preservatives and lots of sodium. What about making a bunch of veggie burgers from scratch one day and freezing them? It's cheaper that way also.

No, but it will probably get boring. Morningstar farms makes real good veg chicken burgers. I use different toppings to keep it fresh, try salsa for a Tex-Mex flavor, sweet and sour sauce for an oriental taste, and mozzerella and spaghetti sauce for an Italian attitude! Experiment with your burgers too!

no, i eat morningstar veggie burgers almost every day too. there's just a lot of sodium in them, so make sure you keep your diet balanced and watch your blood pressure. if it gets too high, cut down on the burgers.

otherwise you should be perfectly fine.

Yes if it was everyday of your life because you shouldn't have a lot of processed foods in your diet. But if it is only once in a while it is okay like every week you eat a burger or two. But there is high sodium in it just like many other vegetarian foods so you might want to watch out for that.

Your fine...enjoy

Well for one thing its processed....so it may not be the best thing for you. And for another thing...nothing you eat that regularly is good for you. You need variety in your diet in order to get all of the nutrients and such that your body requires.

Look into simple recipes that you can throw together on the fly....like a pita bread with hummus and veggies (my favorite).

But if you can't get away from something that is processed try the products by Amy! They are easy to throw in the microwave or oven, quick, healthy, AND they taste yummy! I live by them when im at work and dont have time for anything else! Give something by her a try and let me know how you like them! I can offer you more recommendations too if you like.

It would be harmful for you to do so, IMO.

The sodium an fillers are outrageous. Anyone serious aboutl health and nutrition should avoid Boca and any process "veggie" foods like the plague.
