Tired of reposting this, really need advice?!

Question: okay, im 18 years old and im tired of the way i look, im not expecting be a stick figure, but i want to be happy about what i see, so heres the difficult part. I am currently awaiting work, so for the time being (planning on doing the special k thing) i need to work with what i have. In my house I have cup-o-soups, ramon noodles, tons of chicken in the freezer, which usually gets cooked into a suacey mixture with rice and beans (im dominican so my grandmother has kitchen control) i refuse to touch her food. There is bread(sliced and hero/rolls), tons of it (which end up being all i eat cuz there is nothing else to eat) coffee, tea, peppers, i think theres lettuce, ham and swiss cheese, banannas, and water..thats about it, those are my daily choices. i often feel this is not enough for a proper diet, so what can i do to work around this? -keep in mind i have no money.

Well, you can eat all of those things. You just have to keep it in the right portions. But I would stay away from the ramen and cup of noodles. Those things are loaded with way too much sodium. The coffee is okay to have sometimes, but too much will stunt your growth and soon you can't function without it. And all that bread turns to fat, unless you exercise regularly.

But I can see where you're coming from. We have the same problem in my house too, and I'm only sixteen, so I can't work a lot of hours like most people.

hope this helps.

Exercise. That is top of the list. Exercise will shape your body. Go running, that's really cheap. Situps, chinups, pushups, squats, stretching, meditation... Buy bulk -- sack of oats, rice, etc. if you can; go halfers with someone else... where there's a will Report It

  • Grow up. Get a job. Get an apartment and start your own life.

In the mean time eat ham and swiss sandwiches and drink lots of water. Don't eat the ramen or cups of soup.

There's no "way around it". You're 18. Get a job and support yourself.

3 ways to work around it
    *get a job
    *get money
    *get food
    there, now wansnt that easy

Dandelions in the back yard are free. You can cook the young leaves and buds and make a salad with a little sugar and vinegar.

Unless you can get a grocery allowance, it doesn't look like you have many options.
