Wats the difference between a vegan and vegitarian?!
Answers: idk wat the diff is thanks
Oh, its not that simple, there are a few kinds of vegetarianism. Basically a vegan eschews all forms of animal products (dairy, eggs, seafood, gelatin for example). I've copied some info below and included the link. Good luck.
Vegan:
Eats: Fruits, Vegetables, Legumes, Grains, Nuts, Seeds Does not Eat: Meat, Fish, Shellfish, Poultry, Dairy Products, Eggs
Lacto-vegetarian:
Eats: Fruits, Vegetables, Legumes, Grains, Nuts, Seeds, Dairy Products
Does not Eat: Meat, Fish, Shellfish, Poultry, Eggs
Ovo-vegetarian:
Eats: Fruits, Vegetables, Legumes, Grains, Nuts, Seeds, Eggs
Does not Eat: Meat, Fish, Shellfish, Poultry, Dairy Products
Lactoovo-vegetarian:
Eats: Fruits, Vegetables, Legumes, Grains, Nuts, Seeds, Eggs, Dairy Products
Does not Eat: Meat, Fish, Shellfish, Poultry
Semi-Vegetarian:
Eats: Fruits, Vegetables, Legumes, Grains, Nuts, Seeds, Eggs, Dairy Products, Fish, Shellfish, Poultry
Does not Eat: Meat
A vegitarian is someone who does NOT eat meat but still eats seafood and drinks milk and eats the other dairy products.
A vegan is someone who does NOT eat meat, seafood, or any dairy products so basically they're on a pretty strict diet.
They will NOT eat anything with a face or something that came from something alive.
the difference is that a vegetarian drinks milk, eats eggs and fish. A vegan doesn't eat or use any animal products of any kind.
a vegan will not eat meat or any other products that comefrom live animals (eggs, milk, cheese, etc.) a vegetarian just doesnt eat meat
vegitarians typicaly do not eat any food that is the result of the death of an animal... some eat seafood egs dairy etc...
vegans eshew all animal products including those which dont harm the animal like milk honey and such
i think vegan's drink dairy prodducts and stuff. but vegetarians eat no meat or dairy at all!!!
How much of a fanatic you are
A lacto-ovo vegetarian eats boths eggs and dairy but excludes all meat (seafood falls under the meat category.)
An ovo vegetarian eats eggs but excludes all dairy and meat .
As you have ascertained from the previous definitions a lacto vegetarian eats dairy products but not meat or eggs.
A vegetarian does not eat meat but may or may not consume eggs and/or dairy, and they will wear wool angora etc.
But vegan is more of a lifestyle. They will not eat, purchase or use any product made by or from any animals. They will not even eat honey.
Vegans don't eat meat or anything made with milk, cheese or eggs. Usually, vegans don't even wear leather jackets, shoes or buy any animal-derived product if they can help it. Vegetarians don't eat meat, but some do eat dairy and/or eggs. Neither eat fish.
There are many different kinds of vegetarians, but basically:
Vegetarian - Eats eggs and dairy (possibly fish), but no meat and nothing with animal bi-products
Vegan - No eggs, dairy, meat, fish, or anything with animal bi-products
vegetarian: there are different kinds. basic rule is that you don't eat anything that used to be a living and functioning being that has emotions and experiences pain (this includes seafood!). still eats dairy, egg, and the like.
vegan: same as vegetarian, but also doesn't eat anything with products that came from animals (things with dairy, egg, honey sometimes, geletin, and more) and also doesn't buy leather, wool, or fur products.
Here are the definitions by the people who coined the word vegetarian in the 1840s: http://www.vegsoc.org/info/definitions.h...
The main difference is that vegetarians don't eat dead animals or foods that resulted from the death of an animal. Foods taken from a living animal are acceptable under vegetarianism (dairy, eggs, honey.) Vegans don't eat anything of animal origin whatsoever, whether or not the animal died for it. For vegans it an issue not of death but of exploitation and it extends beyond the diet. Vegans do not wear or use animal products or ingredients and do not support industries that exploit animals for human entertainment, either (circuses, rodeos, etc...)
vegan: doesnt eat any animal products such as meat, cheese, milk, ect.
vegaterian: doesnt eat any meat products and eggs.
vegetarians - don't eat meat
vegans - don't eat meat, eggs and dairy products...
and the list goes on
