Vegans, Would you eat meat if it was cared for properly?!

Question: ie: chickens on farm grass, not cages.

i reckon harming animals is sick, just wanted to know that if the animals where all cared for properly, and if they where kept free of hormones and healthy for you, and slaughtered in a quick, painless manor to the animal, would you eat meat?/ animal products? (fresh)

(im semi-vegan)

if so, go for Halal meat. (lawful, no harm to animal, safe to eat, healthy for you)

any questions or anything, email me.

There is no such thing as semi-vegan. Just like pregnancy, veganism is pretty much an all or nothing proposition, by it's very definition.

I don't mean to offend, but halal meat is no more acceptable to a vegan than any other. Slaughtering an animal is unacceptable to us under any circumstances. You simply can't take a life with "no harm to the animal."

Ask a sheep that had it's throat cut while un-stunned it if likes the Halal method of slaughtering!

I would still not eat meat. Disgusting!!

No. Never. Killing anything is a violent act irrespective of the method employed.

Long time vegetarian.

If human babies were all cared for properly, and if they where kept free of hormones and healthy for you, and slaughtered in a quick, painless manner, would you eat them? What about halal or kosher babies?

I'm not suggesting this by any means, just trying to point out how idiotic the logic is.

You can't be "semi-vegan". You can be vegetarian (unless you eat meat).

And no, I wouldn't eat flesh again, I lost the taste for it completely!

For some - the main reason really has more to do with the lack of ability to eat meat as why they don't eat it.

I don't eat it because of med's that I take. My grandbaby doesn't like meat - personal choice and she just turned 5 and has always been that way (not raised by people that are vegetarian/vegan).

For those that are interested and have a desire to eat meat - I can see the points that you make as valid points - lack of hormones and conditions that are healthy living conditions.

As to animal products - that is a personal choice that many make. I like to know what is within what I buy - and if I can't say it, don't really want to buy it.

As to the thought of painless death - death can happen and not have pain (I had one of those death and brought back to life experiences - and I felt GREAT - didn't hurt at all - did till I 'came back' - then it was a different story). But since I can't say that is always the case - not sure that such a claim is going to be accepted by all. Again, a point that is a personal one that each individual is going to have to make from their own personal convictions.

how's that semi-vegan?? Would it be okay for you to have your throat slit 'painlessly' and then eaten? All living beings struggle for survival (including plants, but to eliminate that is near impossible unless you're a fruitarian...I've never met one), and you could do your part by actually not eating the animals.

Who says meat is healthy for you?

No way. I don't want to eat anything that had to be "killed".

no i wouldn't, i still think it's wrong to kill animals no matter how you do it. :)

GO VEGETARIAN! vegetarians rule, i should know cuz i am one and so is my 20 year old sister lol jkjkjk but we r vegetarians!
and no i would not eat another animal in my life, i find it useless cuz humans were ment to be herbivores not carnivores...people just do it for some mean reason...i'm 12 and im a vegetarian. its just wrong to eat animals because think...ok.. whats for dinner..and your guardian says chicken and rice..ok the rice is good...but think..someone lost their life just so you can eat..that happens every day. you have no idea what goes on in slaughter houses...many chicks and other animals go through torture. DO NOT EAT AT KFC. if you wanna know why or dont believe me check this out:

There's no such thing as semi-vegan or even semi-vegetarian. That's like saying someone's a little bit pregnant.

I would not eat meat that came from an animal who was "cared for properly." It doesn't matter how well the animals are treated when they are killed in the same slaughterhouses as factory farmed animals. Killing an animal is harming him/her. There is no way to kill anyone painlessly.

There is no such thing as humane meat.

Vegetarianism never stop at EATING habit alone. It is a continuous journey beyond...

Nowadays, it's customary that we don't marry before we date. So why should we worship God with blind faith? We have the right to demand that God appears to us, and to make Himself known to us. We have the right to choose which God we would like to follow. So now you see that it is very clear in the Bible that we should be vegetarians. For all health reasons, we should be vegetarians. For all scientific reasons, we should be vegetarians. For all economic reasons, we should be vegetarians. For all compassionate reasons, we should be vegetarians. As well, to save the world, we should be vegetarians. It is stated in some research that if people in the West, in America, eat vegetarian only once a week, we would be able to save sixteen million starving people every year. So be a hero, be vegetarian. For all of these reasons, even if you don't follow me, or don't practice the same method, please be a vegan for your own sake, for the sake of the world.

Thats called Kosher
