Dude, if you think that about this place, don't go into the marriage and divorce Q/A.....

Because you tend to focus on the problems as opposed to the health benefits.

There are very little problems with that lifestyle.

Most are questions from people that don't understand vegans or veggies. People who have let years of misinformation warp their views.

Now, I am an omnivore, I eat meat. But also, as a scientist, I can see nothing wrong with these lifestyles. They get all the nutrition (including protein) that they need in their diet. And most people that live these lifestyles lead a much healthier life than those who don't.

It certainly has it's benefits but at the same time our environment is more supportive of omnivores. Restaurants, grocery stores, etc.. cater wisely to the larger population of consumers. In addition to that to be a true Vegan and not consume or use any animal product is tedious as hell. Vegetarianism is complex and one should have a sound nutritional knowledge to embark on it because it is difficult to get sufficient quantities of protein and specific vitamins and minerals on this regimen without understanding the alternatives and necessary consumption quantities to insure good health.

My best edvise would be to just eat meat...mmmmmm meat.

if something is new to you you are bound to want to ask alot of questions. it doesn't mean there are problems.

Well first of all, this is a forum where people ask questions. So you usually wouldn't see a question like: "I'm a vegetarian, and I'm healthy, and really enjoying my diet, what should I do about it?"

If you look at the answers, you would see that there's a solution to all those problems.

One problem with vegetarianism is awareness. Not a lot of people know enough. Most of us have been raised eating meat, and we don't know any other way.
Educating ourselves on nutrition would fix this problem.

I personally dont' think that the vegan or vegetarian diet has any problems. You just need to eat all your veggies, grains, and beans, and you'll be healthy and happy.

Well, technically, this is still under the food and drink section so you would think everybody would just be exchanging recipes and such. But since vegetarianism and veganism involves much more than food, a lot of seemingly off topics gets asked (and answered) here.
A lot of the question askers are new to the lifestyle so are still trying to learn the ropes.. It would be normal to ask questions from those who share the same beliefs or from long time practitioners or anybody who cares to answer. that's why this forum exists. So that people who are vegetarians/vegans and others can share ideas, discuss issues, share experiences etc etc. No need to put or imply any other meaning beyond that.

Why do you ignore benefits of being a vegetarian....these are just few issues...so it can not be said that its not a great life style...I am sure there would be diet issues for a non vege too...
as far as health is concern....I am a vegetarian....and i never get ill...(from past 7-8 year...i dont remember if i even suffered from fever)....i am very active...and my skin is shiny too...

I would like to suggest you to gather enough knowledge about vegetarianism/veganism ...so that you could understand how veg food helps to get fit n fine..

You are having a laugh, right ?

Because some people ASK questions you think that means there is something wrong with the basic diet ??

Come on, it does seem you havn't thought about this at all.

Lets reverse shall we ? How about the ga-zillions of meat-eaters who clogg the health system because the can't cope with thier diet properly ? Or the relentless programs on TV, or articles in the press trying to teach people how to live on a meaty diet becasue they cannot.

Not enough evidence for you ?

How about the ailse after aisle of supplements, potions, lotions and pills that line the supermarkets ?? They can't be for veggies, we are a tiny proportion of the population. So I guess that means they are for meat-eaters....emmm, the diet doesn't look so healthy to me if you need all those products.

Judging millions of peoples diet choice by what goes on in this forum is lame to say the least.

If you want to dig at V&V, at least get your analysis right.

Q1 in your list of 10 is the only one remotely related to health, and thats from someone who has been a veggie for 3-5 days.

Q4 is someone having a problem with meat-eaters, not being vegetarian

Q5 is someone asking about food contents. Its a QUESTION, not a COMPLAINT

Q7 This is a question posted by a troll - its clear by thier question history they don't beleive what they said in the question, or they are being sarcastic.

Come on, raise your game please, your current level is too easy to disprove.

I was born a carnivore and i'll die a carnivore.I 'm human, i need meat.

These questions did not come conclusively to that there was no solution. One question, you can make vegan cookies. I've done it. They're delicious, you just have to know the right substitutes.

People not finding food, maybe they're new, and they're so used to one thing, they don't know how to search elsewhere.

Read the answers first before concluding these are problems.

It takes a brain to really successfully be a vegetarian in such a meat-based society. Some people need help getting that information, which is great. I encourage it because many people give up on being a vegetarian since they don't know what's available. IF they seek the info, they'll learn and be able to continue. It's not difficult and it's really healthy if done right.

Why are idiots like you asking questions like this? lol
Get over yourself, I bet your some sorry flesh eater.

Anyways, some people are new to this, this is why they ask for recipes. A lot of food that is sold in todays market is not exactly vegetarian friendly.

By the way, i'm vegetarian and i've been that way for three years now and i've never been healthier.

The only reason some poeple have problems with this diet is because they are eating the wrong things.
