Good veggie wrap suggestions?!

Question: I make veggie wraps for work everyday, but they have no flavor...
I need a good recipe to put one together, here's the catch:

1. I am on weight watchers, so I can't do anything fattening, like cheese

2. I make my wrap the night before, so I can't put anything on it that will make it soggy for the next day like tomatoes or dressing

Generally, I use a whole wheat wrap, add hummus, lettuce, avacado, alfalpha (sp) sprouts,,, now I need some more flavor

Thanks for you help!

I make wraps and sandwiches for my hubby all the time the night before and I add tomatoes and dressing. Here's how to do it without getting soggy wraps. Get leaf lettuce (It's nice and flexible to put into wraps. Tear off a few whole leaves. Wash and dry them very well. They must be completely dry. Put them on the wraps. Now chop up all your fillings and put them on the lettuce. Drizzle with sauce. Now roll it all up. The lettuce will keep the tomatoes and sauce from making the wrap soggy. You can also add Spike seasoning. It's a seasoning blend and it's very tasty. I like mustard on my wraps and sandwiches as a break from hummus (but skip the avacados if you are using mustard!!) Don't be afraid to experiement! Instead of hummus, try tapenade (careful, some have anchovies), or even a bean spread. Make a Medeterrian wrap with lettuce, olives, diced cucumbers and feta. Goat's milk feta cheese is lower in calories. You can also get or make terriayki marinated tofu. If you are new to tofu, once this is sliced and in a sandwich, it tastes pretty good!

You could add a few spices. Or even peppers, such as pepperoncini, jalapeno, or pickled banana pepper rings.

Or if you want to splurge a bit, you could add a slice or two of salami or pepperoni.

Pickles might help too. Think of things that naturally have a lot of flavor and zing.

Try adding Olives,Onions, Cucumbers, peppers

add a little lemon, a little tang, abit of oregano, a hint of garlic and a dash of salt and bit of extra light oil. If you like hot stuff add also a bit of habenaro or jalepeno! I use this when I make my horn of plenty also called Cornecopia filled with Vegetables mixed with the mixture I just mentioned! The horn is made with dough like perogie dough and made cone shape. It can be baked boiled or microwaved. Can even be deep fried. For deeping frying or boiling the open end has to be covered up with tin foil so the contents don't fall out!

You can try:
Falafel wraps with hummus, lettuce, & avocado.
Tempeh bacon wraps with vegan mayo (like nayonaise), lettuce & tomato
Grilled tofu wrap with grilled tofu, portobello, sauteed onions & peppers, lettuce, tomato, vegan cheese (like Vegan Gourmet, Cheezly, Sheese) and a side of vegan sour cream & salsa.

Here is some recipes for some others:

Some of my favorites:

1. Hummus and bean sprouts with a little lemon juice sprinkled on it and some sea salt - it makes the flavors pop in my opinion.

2. Medium-spiced blend of lightly sautéed (minimum to no oil) black beans, diced onion and zucchini, and garnished with crisp, fresh shredded lettuce - sort of a burrito-type thing. I like to add in tomato as well but you said you don't want to use it for sogginess reasons.

Have you ever tried making tabbouleh? You can take it along in a Tupperware container and scoop it into a pita pocket, it is a delicious Turkish dish. I highly recommend it for something "different":

You can also try bringing along a filling seperate from the wrap in Tupperware, and scoop it into the wrap at work - it'll keep the wrap from falling apart or absorbing liquid from the filling. You might also like whole grain pita pockets, they're easy to work with too.

If you try it that way, you can make a low-calorie, eggless egg salad - I like to use Light Mori-Nu silken tofu for it, because it's incredibly low-cal and fat free, and reduced fat vegan "fake" mayo from Whole Foods:

what you have there sounds like something I would eat (and think that there is lots of flavor) but adding some pesto, olives, hossein sauce or anything with a strong flavor, you can also get some great garlic salad shakers that are great on sandwiches

Here is a recipe..just leave out the cheese if you want...this is for right away eating...

Veggie Burritos

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 cups broccoli flowerets
2 cups mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 medium carrot, shredded
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup salsa
2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, shredded

8 flour tortillas

Cook vegetables in oil with garlic for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in salsa. Place mixture and two cups cheese on tortillas. Roll and place in a 12x8 inch baking dish. Cover with foil and bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and bake five more minutes.
