Does anyone have a GOOD vegan mac & cheese recipe?!
I've experimented with a few recipes, but to be honest they tasted feral.
Has anyone got a good recipe, preferably one that they have tried themselves.
Thanks!

unless you find cheese that is not made from animal milk, you wont be able to do it
Its not a recipe or anything but the Annies ones are real good it's not real cheese and instead of milk you can just add water.
Tia's Mac N Cheese
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
1/3 cup soy marg
1 1/2 cup water
1-2 sloshes soy sauce
2 tsp mustard
pepper to taste Toast flour and yeast in a pan until they smell nutty. Add marg and stir til bubbly. Add water and cook until it thickens, stirring constantly. When it is thick, stir in the remaining ingredients.
Stir this into a pot of shells or elbows or penne. I hope this helps
How long have you been off cheese? It took me two years to stop the cravings for cheese when I went vegan (from being a vegetarian and thus living on cheese during those two years). I have found that it is the casein in cheese that is a food addictive that will have you craving it for awhile. I say this because if you have tried recipes that call for nutritional yeast to provide the "cheezy" part and you did not like it, then you will not like anything else because that is what vegan cheeze is made of mainly in those recipes. Now, do you like the vegan cheese you have? If yes, then just shred it up and put it over the pasta/macaroni and try to melt it! That is what my kids do. They get the pasta cooked, drain it, and then quickly put the shredded vegan cheese over it, put the top on the pot and let it "melt". Good luck in your cravings! They do go away after awhile.
Annie's Mac 'N Cheese isn't vegan... if you read the ingredients carefully you'll see it has casein in it. I think it's casein, I know I've looked at it a few times on the shelf and had to put it back.
To make my own, I use unflavored soy milk, vegan cheese (Follow your Heart's vegan gourmet cheddar), and vegan butter. I don't have measurements I go by, whatever tastes right.
Leftovers are NOT the best tasting, and let it simmer while stirring to let the cheese melt all the way.
YEAH MAKE KRAFT AND THEN BAKE IT IN THE OVEN WITH REAL CHEESE IN IT THEN HIDE SOME DEEP FRIED HAM SLICES IN THE BOTTOM OF THE CASSEROLE DISH...............OH WHAT A LAUGH
