[fter meat eggs cheese &nuts],which vegetable/plant contains the highest percentage of protein....?!

Question: ...and is it correct that oatmeal contains as much as 14%?

Answers: ...and is it correct that oatmeal contains as much as 14%?

Beans, tempeh, tofu... whole grains, bean sprouts, most vegetables all have impressive amounts of protein.

Broccoli has 4.66 grams of protein in a cup and only 45 calories - it has more protein per calorie than eggs, for instance. 100 calories of broccoli would have 9 grams of protein, more than 100 calories worth of cheese - and NONE of the artery-clogging fat.

A cup of whole grain pasta has more protein than an egg.

Tempeh (fermented soybean product) has 20 grams or more of protein per 4 oz, 220 calorie serving, which is well over a third of my daily recommended amount of protein.

Quinoa...grains and legumes....

Eggs and cheese have very unimpressive levels of protein content.

beans have a lot of protein but im not sure how much
also nuts are good

lots of different types of beans have high amounts of protein

Quiona is amazing. It's actually a grain that is a perfect protein and it cooks up just like rice. (rinse it first or it may taste bitter). I thought I could only get it in a health food store, but I found it in my mainstream grocery store as well. It's also cheap! I paid 14 cents per 100 gram!

Buckwheat, quinoa, soybeans....oats are pretty high for grains..
