How come raw vegans always feel superior to the rest of us who are vegetarian and vegan?!
Either way, cooked veggies are still good
Answers: I'm a vegan and my friend is a raw vegan. She always says that if I am going to eat cooked vegetables I might as well eat a steak, because it is not good for. Far be it, I call her and idiot and ignorant but alot of raw vegans I know feel this way. Is it me, or have you also known people like this?

Ur' completely right and totally entitled 2 ur
own opinion, so serve up those hot cooked veggies
and enjoy ur choice NOT hers,'kay! ! !
Don't be silly. You two should be so happy that you are vegan and friends, I don't have any friends who are vegan.
You should support each other. Tell her that everyone is different, it's what gives beauty to us, to accept and not say negative things to you. And be supportive of each other.
all vegans, vegitarians, and raw vegans that i have met think they are all superior to us (normal people who eat meat because it's been our way of life since the beginning of time).. don't worry, being a "raw vegan" is just as unnatural as being a regular vegan.
There is a HUGE difference between eating cooked veggies and eating meat, and I think most raw vegans would acknowledge that. You shouldn't base your ideas about raw-foodists off of your friend's remarks.
Living-foods mentality is another realm of health-consciousness. I'm sure lots of raw vegans care about preventing animal suffering, but they're strongly motivated to be healthy. If someone is taking the time and effort to be a raw vegan it is because they believe cooked food is unhealthy and unnatural, just as we vegans believe meat to be unhealthy and unnatural. Both assumptions contain truth, but neither assumption is totally true.
Clearly, it is good that you are vegan and eating cooked vegetables, as opposed to french fries.
You ask why raw vegans ALWAYS feel superior on the evidence of the behaviour of ONE raw vegan. Hmmm... this sounds very familiar. We get the odd omnivore on here asking why veg*ns ALL think they're superior.
You don't know them all.
How could you judge many people on the reaction of one? Just how many raw vegans do you know? Did you do a study on this?
I've come to notice that there are a lot of super opinionated vegans, vegetarians, raw vegans, you name it on this section of Y! Answers. Everyone is free to be who they want. Eat what they want, etc. I don't sit here and bad mouth people who eat meat. I really don't know why the carnivores even bother surfing in the vegan/vegetarian section. We live in a "free" country....
