Soy yogurt?!

Question: I'm trying to make Tzatziki, a Greek dip, which I normally make with yogurt, but in this case it must be non-dairy. Has anyone tried to make this with soy substitute? How did it come out?

I use soy alot in my cooking the following recipe is easy to prepare and tastes great... enjoy!

Vegan Tzatziki Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cups plain soy yogurt
2 cucumbers, diced small
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
dash salt and pepper
1 tbsp fresh chopped mint leaves
1/4 tsp paprika

Preparation:
Mix together all ingredients. Chill for at least an hour before serving to allow flavors to mingle.

Hmm I am not sure because I eat Geber's baby food (Banana being my favorite) instead of yogurt but I guess you can always try it.

Watch out for what brand of soy yogurt you use. Stonyfield Farm (along with others) makes soy yogurt, but since it is a DAIRY company, the yogurt cultures are actually derived from milk anyway, so why bother?(not to be rude) I use WholeSoy for cooking all sorts of things (even in mashed potatoes and salad dressings) and it works just great and is completely vegan. The manufacturing facilities don't even touch anything from animals. Check out their website...no i'm not an advertising bot, I just love what this company is doing.
