First figure out what type of vegetarian you want to be. Some (vegans) cut all animal out of there life, from food to even clothing. Some will still consume dairy products and eggs. Others will still wear leather but wont eat meat. After that, start reading the labels of the food you are purchasing. Many that you wouldn't think would be OK to consume as a vegetarian actually use meat byproducts in the processing. For example many mass produced beers like Guinness and Budweiser use a fish extract during the filtration process and as a result are not vegetarian friendly.
There are numerous websites available to you. Just go a search and read up on the articles they have posted. It is easier than you think id you learn to look for certain things.
stop eating animal flesh,
substitute it with soy products,
boca products - hambugers, "chicken" patties, "chicken" nuggets, chilli
don't eat animals.... problem solved.
well, it is hard at first, but make yourself some meals without meat that you really enjoy. after becoming a vegetarian, i loved it and i wouldn't change at all.
good for you. its great for your health, health of the animals, and health of the earth.
Before you go shopping plan your meals. That way you won't get mid week and hae nothing healthy to eat.
1) Breakfast: cereal, toast, bagel, fruit etcs.. - this covers your daily carbs, better to have carbs in the morning versus at night.
2) Mid morning: yogurt, apple, protein bar. this will give you energy
3) Lunch: veggie sandwich, grilled veggies, veggie soup with lots of beans - you'll get your proteins and with the veggies, get your "a,b,c,d,e" vitamins.
4) Dinner: big spinach salad, or a leafy green salad, with a main course veggie dish. the salad covers your iron and more protein, with great vitamins. - b12
The main course veggie dish, - you can basically have what you want as along as it not to heavey in crabs. like don't eat loads and loads of paste or bread. but a little is good!

One way to get started is to make a list of your favorite meals and recipes, and adapt them into vegetarian versions. Pasta and meatballs would become pasta and Nate's Meatless Meatballs, for instance. See http://vegcooking.com/guide-favs.asp for a list of faux meats. Good luck!
Don't eat meat. This includes chicken and fish, obviously. You can eat eggs and milk though, unless you want to be vegan.
People who don't eat meat except fish aren't vegetarian.
Also, don't just stop eating meat--eat more beans, etc. Yoou can eat tofu if you want.
