If ur a vegetarian will you loose weight??!

Question: It depends what you were eating pre-vegetarian and what you choose to eat as a vegetarian. If you eat a lot of veggies, whole grain and soy, you may lose weight. However it may be difficult for you to avoid the carbs as a vegetarian (pastas and breads) and junk food then you'll pack on the pounds. If you're going for weight loss- watch what you eat and exercise. It's true what they say.. garbage in, garbage out!
good luck :)

Dont become a vegetarian if you want to loose weight thats the wrong way to go about it and No. look at cows all they eat is grass and what not and they are huge.

im a vegetarian since i was 9.....weird i know
and im thin
but it doesnt necessarily mean anything
alot of vegetarians will eat alot more carbs and nuts etc....which will actually make them gain

That really depends what you were eating before and what you eat afterwards.

There are plenty of high-calorie vegetarian foods. Moderation is key no matter what you are willing to eat.

No not really.
I agree, dont become vegetarian just to lose weight.
Besides, it might backfire =(

It really depends on what you eat as a vegetarian because you could still gain a lot of weight as a vegetarian. If you are a vegetarian and you eat a lot of healthy food, not that many junk foods and sweets, or oily stuffs, you would definally lose weight.

Depends what kind of vegetarian you are. Also everybodys body is different.Metabolism and all that.Guys of course lose weight faster..damn them.I have a relative who doesnt eat meat..but shes fat.I have a guy friend who also doesnt eat meat..but hes a stick.Who knows

You will not necessarily loose weight on a vegetarian diet. It all depends on how and what you eat. To lose weight you have to burn more calories than you take in, so if you are still eating too many calories(cakes cookies, over sized portions, etc), you will not lose weight.

A good meal plan and exercise will help you lose weight(if that is your goal).

Yes!

It depends, if you are overweight you will lose weight if you stick to a healthy diet - regardless of whether or not you eat meat.

If your motive for being vegetarian is to lose weight, you will probably end up giving up vegetarianism anyway.

Being a vegetarian does make it easier to lose weight because foods like hot dogs and burgers are replaced with healthier alternatives.

However vegetarians can eat things that can make you overweight too. So there isn't a definitive answer.

You might lose a little. It all depends on what you eat. If you remove meat from your diet and substitute it with junk food, you won't. But if you eat healthy, then yes.
