Is soymilk vegan?!
Answers: So, I've started a new "healthy eating" plan (I hate the word diet) and it's a lot of fruits and veggies, and very low meat products. Granted I already don't eat red meat, I'm trying to go more vegan. This "healthy eating plan" calls for soymilk, soynut butter, tofu, ect..so it's pretty much vegan, and in the places where it calls for cheese, I use veggie slices or veggie shreds. I use soymilk, but what vegan substitute can I use for eggs and is soymilk vegan?
This site pretty much covers ALL the vegan egg substitutes for any situation you are in and you need an egg!:

And of course most soy milk is vegan, Silk is and many soy milk companies even write vegan on their cartons as they gladly advertise that they are.
In place of milk you can also try almond milk, rice milk, hemp milk, oat milk... lots of choices.
yes it is vegan, it's totally from the soy bean, no animals involved
silk soymilk (vanila) is the best...tastes so good and really healthy for u..
Yes; the answer to your question is "yes."
noooooo
soy milk is vegan because it is make out of soy beans
soy milk is made from soy beans
Soy milk is vegan and it is usually organic. Good luck with your new way of eating. Make sure that you get enough protein.
technically yes because they are not animal product or byproduct no in the sense that they bare based off an animal by product
Most soymilks are vegan, but 8th Continent is not, as it contains animal-sourced vitamin D-3. If you're going completely dairy-free, watch out for casein, a milk protein that ends up in many soy cheeses and so-called non-dairy items.
You might also want to try almond butter or cashew nut butter--yum!
And for margarine, check out Earth Balance.
And listen to what Maggie says--she knows her stuff!
Soymilk is vegan. You can make your own. Soak a couple of cups of soybeans for 24-48 hours in two cups of water. Run the water and soybeans through a juicer. The finely pulped soybeans mixed with the water is the "milk".
With my juicer I do the same thing with almonds to make almond "milk"
dude, too much soy will mess with your hormone levels, dudes should eat soy in moderation.
as for a healty diet... variety is the key, but you want to cut out several whole classes of foods, red meat, fish, shellfish, poultry, pork, game, etc. not a good plan without the aid of a nutritionist or dietician.
Soymilk is vegan
soymilk is vegan b/c it is formed from soybean. Use eggwhites
unless theres some crazy hybrid soy bean with meat in it. then NO
soymilk is vegan but i recommend you drink rice milk because soy milk has high levels of estrogen or something

To the person that wrote: "but you want to cut out several whole classes of foods, red meat, fish, shellfish, poultry, pork, game, etc. not a good plan without the aid of a nutritionist or dietician."
Please stop spouting mainstream misinformation and read actual scientific studies. The one on soy messing with your hormone levels, and pretty much all studies putting down a vegetarian/vegan diet and funded by the dairy and meat industries.
is soy bean a type of meat you idiot?
