Are potatoes good for health?!
Answers: potato is good when u eat by boil or back. but when u fry it has too much fat inside and its good for dieting
Dear Brother Kumar, excess of potatoes can make you a COUCH POTATO yourself.
In moderation, sure.
They're a good source of carbs, and are vegetables, but they, like anything else, are only good in moderation.
Potatos are full of potassium and are a good source of carbs. However, any starchy carbohydrate such as potatos, pasta, bread, beans, rice, etc, can cause you to get fat if you eat to much of them.
The key is moderation. Starches shouild make up no more than 1/3 of your carb source. Focus on green vegetables such as green beans, broccoli, asparagus, etc, as your main carb source.
Yes
according to the age,,,,,,,,,,,,
Yes, they are. Especially sweet potatoes.
excess potatoes are not good. they have carbohydrates and will make u look fat. i think they will make u like them if u consume them in excess.
Buy organic. Potato skin is very thin. The insecticides and other chemicals seep through and won't get washed out.
"commercially-farmed potatoes are some of the most pesticide-contaminated vegetables. A 2006 U.S.D.A. test found 81 percent of potatoes tested still contained pesticides after being washed and peeled, and the potato has one of the the highest pesticide contents of 43 fruits and vegetables tested, according to the Environmental Working Group."
it is good for health. overeating of anything is bad to your health.
No. Nutritionally, they are weak. And this coming from a vegan.
Potatoes are actually very low in vitamins and minerals per calorie(they are just high in 2 or 3). They only thing they have a lot of is calories.
So that way, you fill up quickly on them, and don't get the high vit and min intake that we are supposed to get from food.
And they are in the form of starch, which ferments in your body, and contributes to gas and body odor.
Get your calories from fruit(that way, you also get your vitamins), and include tender green vegetables for minerals.
Potatoes are definitely good for your health if eaten in moderation. While their skins contain trace levels of all sorts of good stuff, they are a fantastic source of potassium only rivaled by the avocado and honeydew melon. Of course as with most anything, you can have too much of a good thing, and those carbs will catch up with you.
yes but it has very much fat .so it is not right 4 a faty person
Yes it depends how they are cooked & eaten, but generally potatoes are good for your health especially with the skin on. With the skin potatoes contain a number of important vitamins and minerals; even without the skin they are good. They are high in carbohydrates, starch, vitamin B6, vitamin C, and iron. Originally they are low in calories. For calorie information on the different cooking techniques:

As with any food 'moderation' But definitely avoid the green bits, they are poison.
Knowing that you can see how myths arise about carbs. The fact is that carbohydrates are meant to be a quick source of fuel for our bodies and brains. Anyone who works out or exercises intensely needs a higher amount of carbs to provide their muscles and body with the energy for their work out. The catch though, is that how much extra carbs they need is a personal thing.
There are some people who can eat 500 grams of carbs each day and never have a weight or body fat problem. Others though, might eat just 100 grams each day and still struggle with weight gain and body fat. And that's why a blanket statement such as "eat 5 servings each day" is not good advice for just anyone.
The bottom line is energy balance.
If you consume more calories on average than your body uses, the extra energy (no matter what the source) becomes body fat. An extra 100 calories a day over a year becomes 10 pounds of fat!
yes they are........
potatoes r good for health only if u deeep fry it or add ghee, butter or oil it becomes a fatty food.u need potatoes as it contains starch
no no no.........................................
