Are there any yogurts out there that don't contain gelatin?!

Question: This has been a major problem for me, too. All of the major brands--including Yoplait and Dannon-- contain gelatin, and the companies that make them are in no way apologetic or willing to change formulas.

In the west, Mountain High (produced in Engelwood, Colorado) is the best bet. Safeway now has its own line of organic products which includes a small selection of yogurt. To me, they really aren't all that tasty but will do in a pinch. Silk Soy yogurt is another option. I think Columbo makes some non-gelatin yogurt, but I haven't been able to find them in my area.

Yes, there are. In regular grocery stores there is Mountain High, and at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, there are numerous brands like Horizon. I find the gelatin typical to the generic, ghetto brands. I don't think Dannon or Yoplait have it, but I stopped buying little yogurt cups, because the 32 ounce container was cheaper and left less refuse.

yes.

their are tons of them. but if you are really particualr then just make your own yougurt it is kinda easy.

I'm not sure.
You might want to try your own, just found this simple soy recipe yesterday. http://veganfeastkitchen.blogspot.com/20...

no sorry but try this vegan pudding.

Preparation Time 10 minutes

Cooking Time 5 minutes

Ingredients (serves 6)
Melted soy margarine, to grease
500g (4 cups) raspberries, washed
1 x 250g punnet strawberries, washed, hulled
150g (1 cup) blueberries, washed
170g (3/4 cup) organic raw sugar
2 tbs fresh lemon juice
10 thick slices day-old homemade white bread, crusts removed
Vanilla soy ice-cream or vanilla soy yoghurt, to serve

Method
Brush a 1.5L (6-cup) capacity pudding basin or glass bowl with melted butter to lightly grease. Line the base and side with 3 layers of plastic wrap, allowing it to overhang.
Combine raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, sugar and lemon juice in a large saucepan over medium heat. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 3-5 minutes or until mixture is syrupy but berries still hold their shape. Remove from heat and set aside.
Line the base and side of prepared pudding basin with 7 slices of bread, allowing them to overlap slightly. Use your hands to gently press the bread together to seal. Fill in any gaps with small pieces of bread so the pudding basin is completely covered.
Reserve 160ml (2/3 cup) of the berry mixture. Pour the remaining berry mixture into the pudding basin. and cover with remaining bread slices. Place a small plate (one that fits exactly inside the rim of the basin) on top of the pudding. Place a weight on top of the plate. Place pudding in the fridge for 8 hours or until set.
Turn pudding onto a large serving plate and pour over the reserved berry mixture, taking care to cover any bread that's still white. Cut pudding into wedges and serve with soy ice-cream or yoghurt.

Notes & tips
This recipe is best made a day ahead. You can substitute store-bought white bread for the homemade bread, but make sure it does not contain dairy or animal products.

Dannon Naturals doesn't have gelatin, or at least, the strawberry flavor doesn't. It isn't colored with carmine either.
Also, stonyfield farms yogurt don't have gelatin.

The Silk Brand may have one. But I just eat Geber's Banana baby food (so yummy!) which is fully vegan.

Silk Soy yogurt and Whole Soy & Company yogurt are both free of gelatin. Whole Soy is also labeled vegan. And I understand So Delicious came out with a line of soy yogurts, which presumably are vegan as well.
