I can't believe I've become Vegan, was it hard for you?!
Answers: I used to eat meat almost daily, was actually an Atkins adherent for a few years. But I've found that it's actually not that hard. And if done right, you won't be hungry. Now the whole idea of eating animal products seems kind of perverse and cruel. Was it hard for you?
People who say its impossible to be vegan don't know the real definition and point of veganism.
Btw, vegan isn't just a diet. It extends to avoiding animal products in other areas of your life.
No, it wasn't hard. I hadn't eaten red meat in almost 13 years, i'd been vegetarian for almost 9. The more I learned the better I tried to do. It just kind of happened since I realized it didn't make any sense to be against animal cruelty but support all these other areas of animal-farming, especially the egg and dairy industries which are crueler than the straight-to-meat industry, and that's exactly where they end up anyway.
I can't believe it either! ! ! ! It's crazy right! ! ! ! ! !
nope. one day i just said no more cheese and yogurt or leather and wool, and that was it.
i've since found products like tofutti better than cream cheese and sour cream and it just makes it even easier.
I thought it would be really hard, but it's great!
um no because well i aint a vegatarien so i wouldnt no but my friend Todd just became lactouvo vegatarien so he says its hard! but i really dont no!
Strangely enough I didn't find it hard at all to make the change. Some people choose to become vegan or vegetarian for health reasons. A lot of people don't know that eating animal protein is much harder on the kidneys than vegetable protein, so it's a good move for those with kidney disease to make also. :)
Ah, but you only THINK you are a vegan! Veganism means not eating ANY animal products, and if you eat grains or vegetables (especially "organic" grains or vegetables!) you are eating lots of insects & insect parts at every meal! Or don't insects count as "animals"?
It is impossible (without bathing everything in toxic levels of insecticides) to grow, harvest & process things like soy products, wheat, corn, rice, quinoa, tef, oats and millet without trapping (and then processing) lots & lots & lots of wee beasties! So much so that the FDA actually has "allowable levels of insect parts" for the various forms of flour!
Bon appetit!
It just happened naturally. I was vegetarian for a few years but found myself choosing soy products over dairy products, and eliminating eggs entirely... and slowly the transition happened. I didn't even consider myself vegan per se for a while even though I ate a vegan diet.
It wasn't hard to eliminate eggs, butter and yogurt cause I use veg alternatives. But milk chocolate i have a real problem with..its everywhere and sooo tasty : )
i thought it would be hard. i had been a vegetarian for 6 years and then thought to be a vegan. At first i thought there was nothing much that i could eat. but there is so much choices now and really healthy for you too.
I became Vegan not because I love animals. Is because I hate plants
it was easy for me to give up meat, the only thing that was kinda hard was cheese ^^. tofutti and vegan gourmet make good cheese though, and rice dreams makes REALLY good rice cream :P
