Answers: not allowed carrots/ potatoes .. so what soup?

Of course you're sick. That was bound to happen. Your immune system needs more than fruits and vegetables. Even if you don't want to eat meat, you need grains and nuts and beans. You aren't getting any protein or fats. Yes, you need some fat, even if you're trying to lose weight. You just need to make sure it's healthy fat, like avocados or peanut butter, or nuts. You don't even need a lot, and it won't make you fat. Calories make you gain weight, not fat. (Look it up if you don't believe me. It's true!) All you need to do to lose weight is eat between 1200-1500 calories a day. Don't go below 1200 calories. Your metabolism will shut down because your body will think there is a famine going on, and will try to hold on to your weight and keep it on. It's easier, it's healthier, and it actually works, when you eat enough. Of course, stay away from anything really bad for you, but what you are doing is counterproductive.

Have some peanut butter and jelly on whole grain bread. The fiber in whole grains can help you lose weight.

During an illness get off the diet unless its medically necessary. Having said that - Chicken Soup. Avoid cream soups - they can have white flour - which is no good for anything.

I would suggest for you to eat all liquid soups, such as Tomato Basil. And eat Oatmeal. Also drink fruit juices, and vegetable juices, and lots of water and tea.

Also having said that a diet based only on veggies and fruits is not real good for your health due there are a lot of other nutrients find in plants and grains that are needed daily, that is not found in veggies and fruits alone, but definitely found in vegan food.

eat your regular stuff but increase your intake citrus fruits and make some ginger tea.. ginger tea is good for sore throats and coughs

See a doctor for cold and cough but you should be able to eat all the vegetarian stuff, if it is not too spicy or oily

You can all kinds of vegetables and bad cough/cold should not stop you from eating. If you are restricted, temporarily stop eating carrots and taters. It may be due to some medical reason, i do not know.

Tomato, cream of broccoli, mushroom soups come to mind as good alternatives. Make your own mixed veg. soup without those restricted vegs.

Add celery to rice. It tastes good.

Your cough/cold needs a separate treatment. Steam/eucalyptus oil is a good one. It stops the cold and cough. *works for me*

cinimons and cloves. - these would be good, because they are natural warmers that would warm your troat and insides slowly and get out all the horrible stuff.

in a warm class, put in cinimon sticks, and whole cloves. and slowly drink it. for extra fav. you can add a slice of lemon, or orange.

don't supress your illness, get to the root and get it out!

tomatos soup is delicious :)

Enjoy some wholesome vegetable soup.
