What veggies and fruits else can I eat besides Oranges and Apples ?!

Question: I want to get healthy . I mean really healthy . I have been fighting all those weight I put on from depression and overeating for years. Now I am very close to losing the final few pounds. But I know these are the hardest. I never gave a " microscopic " evalutation on my eating habits while I lost this much weight.

I am thinking of going to the supermarket in about an hour :) What do you think I should buy besides Apples and Oranges . Although , i am not sure when will be the best time to eat them , while at work . Apples are Ok right ?

What other fruits and foods(veggies) are out there , that I can eat which Will make my body feel great and mind sharper ?

Beware, as there is a lot of sugar, albeit natural sugar, in fruit, and you can still gain weight.
Look into juicing - there are a lot of books which list both vegetables and fruits in detail, and what they are good for, and you will get all the vitamins that you need without the bulk.
Salads would be beneficial to you, especially beetroot and celery.
Just be adventurous, and avoid too many starchy vegetables.

watermelon (for breakfast), strawberries, mangoes (best food there is), bananas, fruit smoothies

Such an assortment there is in the markets now...just gaze around as you SLOWLY walk thru your produce section. It is now in season ALL the time now...thanks to overnight shipping. For starters, pineapple, bananas, mangos, kiwi, grapefruit, many kinds of grapes, and they have been outstanding this year, melons of many kinds, careful on this one, but you could find some good ones, and in the freezer, peaches, strawberries, blueberries...I could go on but I think you get the idea. In the veggie dept. broccoli, celery, squashes, cabbages, carrots, kohl rabi, rutabaga...in honor of the rutabaga a good German friend said they use this humble veggie instead of the carb and starch laden potato, cut up and added to soups and stews and can't be beaten for adding food value. My husband never knew I had taken to doing this! He began stew for me a few nights ago and did not know what to do about the ugly yellow and purple thingy on the counter....HA If you don't know, peel like potato making sure to remove the woody stem and root, then chop or slice and cook as potato.

Good luck exploring the fruit and veggies abundance we now have.

Hiya! Melons are ace - there are all different sorts (water, cantaloupe, honeydew etc) and they taste really good! x Grapes, bananas, mango, passionfruit, kiwi fruit, pears, avocado pears, tangerines, cherries, peaches or nectarines... the choice is yours! x I love all of the above fruits and try to eat a different combination of them each day so I don't get bored with them! x Hope this helps xx

Any raw, unprocessed whole (edible) fruit or vegetable is going to be healthy for you, dark leafy greens especially.
