What is the worst injury you ever had?!
Answers: I broke my ribs just before Christmas. It is still difficult to sleep now. Getting out of bed is also hard and putting my socks on! Well, it is quite comical pinging them across the room like elastic bands!
I got my mouth smashed into a fence by a fascist security guard.
I wrecked my left leg, from the thigh to just below the knee. Some, like... 40-50 stitches?
by a car accident. had 4 stitches when i was like 6
First date with a really amazing boy from one of my university classes, cut my lip on his braces and I bled for half an hour!
I've had physically worse injuries, but that was like, definitely the most traumatizing one.
As this question is in the veggie section, i would say being attacked by an army of broccoli and carrots with knives and forks lol
It was not an injury, but when I was 30 I passed 4 kidney stones the last one was 4 mill. thick and it was so painfull I fainted from the pain.
An accident, I Broke my elbow and my wrist on one arm and tore all the ligaments in the other shoulder so both arms were useless. I pierced the underside of my chin and needed 6 stitches on the outside and 6 on the inside. I had lots of cuts on my legs.
It sounds worst then it was, morphine makes everything better :)
What this has to do with being vegan/vegetarian, I have no idea.
I'd say....breaking my arm
when i was in middle school this girl got mad at me and pushed me head first into a bench you could see my skull and i had about 72 stiched and a concussion
A cut on my finger
Guess I'm fairly lucky compared to some, but the worst injury I ever had was when I broke my coccyx (tailbone).
The pain was incredible and I couldn't sit down for weeks! I was on strong painkillers for about two months before I could cope with the pain by myself.
The worst bit was I was too embarrassed to tell the people at work so I had to make excuses for standing up all the time!
I cracked my face open on a basement floor when I was 4.
Oh, and I bruised my tailbone twice. Once on a see-saw (Yeah, I was 16, shut up.) and once when I was makeshift snowboarding (read: standing on a sled) in a snow-covered gravel pit.
when i snapped my leg in half, my bone was almost sticking through my skin, when i was playing football
Why have you posted this question in the Food & Drink catagory?
I was on my college campus at 2am dropping my boyfriend off at his dorm when a drunk 19-year-old student returning from a party hit me at over 60 miles per hour. I was stopped at a stop sign and saw him coming, but couldn't do anything. I was so terrified, deer-in-headlights, that I had my hand on the steering wheel at impact and it completely snapped my middle finger bone down into my hand. My back was mangled and nearly 3 years later I'm still recovering. The kid popped a mint and the school security guard let him go, and he wasn't even injured. DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!
Shattered my right leg - broke at the ankle - both joints broken there as well - broke both bones - split the tibia and fibula - was in traction for 10 days - bed ridden for 6 months. This first time happened on New Year's Eve - and I was the ONLY SOBER person in the Emergency Room.
Had to learn to walk again.
For those that might want to ask - no, I do not have a limp at all. I have broken the very same leg four more times (not as serious) - and STILL no limp.
I used to be VERY ATHLETIC - accidents happen.
I got a deep cut in a car accident and got 6 stiches.
I never get hurt (touch wood). It seems the worst thing would be the time I was running down a hill, tripped, and tore the skin on my knee in the dirt and gravel. all that I needed to do was slather it with disenfectent and cover it with a bandage, though.
I'd like to think it is good karma :)
Mine is tearing a tendon in my ankle during football drills. It took me all summer to walk again. I tore 90% of it... the docs told me it would've been better to have snapped all of it so they could have just replaced it. That tendon is now weak and I tear it again every 2 or 3 years. Eventually I'll have to have it replaced.
Tore my acl in my knee.
haha...i cracked my left hand in half and chipped my pinkie...and it didn't even hurt that bad....
I tripped over a dollhouse and broke my arm.
The bone literally was sticking out through my arm.
I was in first grade-Thanksgiving!
I remember seeing a little blood dot and then the bone-
I was so freaked out!
I also wanted to be cool in elementary school and do flips on this monkey bar.
I couldnt stop and then landed on my jaw fracturing it!
I had a mouth full of rocks!
I was pretty messed up in elementary school LOL!
haha watch scared to see really bad injuries if thats what you're interested in!
I jumped in a pool a little too close to the edge and my foot hit one of those rings that you hook the buoy lines to and my foot got split in between two of my toes. I had to get 8 stitches.
dislocated knee was pretty painful not half as bad as having it put back into place by doctors!
Blocked saliva gland, and I had to have it operated on
Last October I got burns on the underside of my left arm caused by a tea light candle that exploded into a fire ball, I got molten hot wax all down my arm and am scarred for life, very traumatic. i also still dream about people bursting in to flames, and I cannot cope when my husband cooks and something in a pan goes on fire (like when he flambes something) it really freaks me out. I don't have candles anywhere in my house now.
Not really an injury, but my appendix went gang green. I was diagnosed with food poisoning for a week til I lost like 15lbs from puking/diarrhea and not eating or drinking anything and couldn't stand or use my stomach muscles from vomiting so much. I had a ct scan almost a week and a half after the first night of vomiting and they brought me straight into surgery and the doc said it was the grossest thing he ever saw. My appendix was rotted wrapped inside my intestines, and my body was being poisoned from the inside. They hooked a tube up to me and drained the fluid out for 5 days while I was in the children's ward in the hospital and then sent me home. I have the scar on the stomach side of my belly, the opposite of most appendix surgery scars, and have another one below my bellie button from the drainage tube. That was TERRIBLE!!! and disgusting....
Lol... uh I tore my rotator cuff playing volyball and had to have surgery b/c even driving my car hurt like hell. Other than that breaking my big toe. Sounds dumb, but it hurts!
