Men need more energy then women... considering the fact you are still breast feed you should really go and see a nutritionists, if you wish to lose weight while still breastfeeding.

Otherwise your baby will end up under developed, mentally, physically, and cognitively.

If say you weren't breastfeeding, then you could get away with eating a minimum of 1200calories to allow all bodily organs to function effectively.

Men need 1200 everyday and women need 1500 minimum. Do not go below that or you'll be starving yourself. That is the absolute minimums!

Oh, and those calories overall should be 50% carbs (mostly good carbs), 30% protein, and the rest vitamins, minerals, good fats.

well a pound is 3500 calories, so everyday is you cut out 500 calories from what you normally eat then in a week you will lose a pound most likely. also you shoudl excersize and drink lots of water!

:D good luck you seem to have the motivation and right attitude so it should work fine for you

Last year, I lost some weight and I really didn't do anything
to try to lose it except use portion control. I still ate my
favorite things but I ate smaller servings and I didn't go
back for seconds. But if you get confused over how much
you should eat, just look on the label and it should tell you.

remember every time you drink something other than water you basically drinking liquid calories so drinking a lot of water can help u loose weight

you need to expend more calories than you take in, to lose weight. to make nutritionally sound vegetarian meals, i would suggest using recipes out of the vegetarian times cookbook or the vegetarian times magazines. i've been doing this, plus i've replaced refined carbs with whole wheat, multri grain breads, and brown rice. there's no sugar, ice cream, sodas, or candy in the house. this isn't all i've done, but it's alot of what's going on in my day to day eating habits, and i've lost over 11 kg in 6 months. i hope this helps.

Well, I did this fruit diet to loose weight when my last baby( she is 11 now) was born.It took me 6 long months of eating only fruit( sorry, did not exercise-am lazy). Had a book with me called "Fit for life".Dont know if its still around, but i can post it to you if you want! You have to eat fruit with more water content like melons etc. first and then the more heavier..bananas. and there is other stuff like not mixing carbs with protiens..check it out.
Now I follow Atkins for quick loss but its not good for vegans!
hope this helps..

When I need to lose weight I do 1500 calories a day, sometimes I go over but it seems to drop me a couple of pounds a week anyways, without even exercising regularly.
