both your meals were pasta.

May i suggest you get some veggie cook books and experiment.

There is great veggie food, it might take you a little time to adjust but it will get very easy, i promise you.

Soem of your problem might be mental conditioning. You have been conditioned into thinkng that a meal is not complete without meat. Focussing on really decent tastes will overcome this.

I've been veggie for 28 years and i do eat a lot of food but its not because i'm hungry, i just love eating !

We haven't had pasta in months

Best of luck with it, in a couple of weeks you'll forget all about these temporary transition problems

eat some cucumber

you could do a big side salad or a pile of veggies on the side to bulk out the meal without the calories :o)
Sounds like you should be eating more pulses too, they fill you up brilliantly!

Add fiber--whole grain pasta, raw veggies, nuts, beans, anything like that. Fiber is good for you and helps you feel full quicker and longer.

Just make sure you get some protein in your meals, and a little bit of fat helps with feeling satisfied as well. Try not to rely on the highly-processed "soya" products (aka TVP), but use less-refined soy products such as tofu and tempeh. If you live near a Trader Joe's, get some of their baked tofu, which goes great in sandwiches and stir fries.

You need more fiber. Just fiber or just protein (like your meal) will not make you feel full but a combination of both works very well.

you don't always have to feel full. In fact it's not that good to feel really full because that means your stomach is stretching (for real, not heaps but it does) but it can go back to normal aswell. I'd say just settle for eating until your satisfied but not full. If you still really want to be full though try eating something like rice or beans, their more filling.

Add a few nuts on the side to each meal. Nuts are very filling and have protein. Try adding whole grain foods to all your meals to add fiber. Beans are good too.

drink 8 glasses of water day. sometimes your body is dehydrated (sp?) and therefore you feel hungry.

plus the water is really good for a great glowing skin!

I eat enough to get full.....
I usually only eat veggies, fruits, etc. I made vegan pizza last night, and it made me sick. It was made with all soy products, but it still tasted greasy to me, and it didn't agree with me. Your body eventually adjusts to what you're eating.

First, you probably shouldn't have your biggest meal of the day at dinner. It's unhealthy because after dinner, you're not really doing much, so the calories don't get burned off.

Anyways, eat your main course. Like lasagna, or whatever it is, but then also fill up on fruit and veggies.
You can never have too many fresh fruits and veggies.
If you don't like the taste, throw some in the blender and come up with your own smoothie recipes.

Also, drink lots of water.

Have some fruit after dinner. + like a couple of other ppl suggested: have some nuts. Dried fruit also helps if you have a sweet tooth, dried apricots, dates, prunes, saltana's. I also luv V8 vegie juice, original flavour is the best.

I usually feel full after eating a meal, but not overly full. You may want to eat more fiber, like others suggested. Add a salad, eat some nuts or fruit (Or put the nuts and fruit in your salad - I love eating salad with raspberries and pine nuts) or some whole grains.

Be strong and stick with it! After only doing the vegan diet for a week I was feeling more energized. Today, I have lost a few pounds (slowly, the healthy way), still have lots of energy and don't miss meat and dairy at all! Before doing the vegan diet I had been dealing with a minor anemia, but now I actually get more iron because I eat more spinach and other high iron vegies like beets.

Good luck!

i always feel full after eating, that is the point of it isnt it!? for lunch ill usually eat soup and grilled cheese, something light. dinner ill have stir fry with rice, or cheese and bean burrito or pasta with tomato sauce..
try eating some crackers with peanut butter before your meal. protien will help you feel full. i recently read that canned pumpkin is high in protien, i havent tried it out for myself yet. peanut butter does it for me :)

Eating some fruit after is the best way.

Avocados are great! Filling too.

I would suggest splitting your meals up across the day. Eat small meals full of vitamins and drink lots of water. It is harder on your body to digest a huge meal right before bed and would be better to do a well balanced dinner with whole grains. A big mistake people make is eating empty food. The lasagna could have been made with pasta that wasn't whole grain or something, and turns into sugar in your body, which isn't going to fill you up. You want to include 6 servings of grains into your daily meals and those should be a majority of whole grain. Good luck

Eat more! There is no need to go hungry if you are following ANY healthy way of eating!
