UGHH!! i eat so much!?!
Answers: ok wow i am so stupid! i say i wont eat as much and only eat 3 meals plus 3 snacks but it turns out tripling that!!! i feel like i need to eat and i am always hungry even after the biggest dinner!!! is there any tips i can tell my self so i wont eat as much?!!! anything that will help me!! thanks
well im srry to say this, but it all depend on how much will power you have.
however i do suggest that you eat slowly, i heard several times that this helps to full people more.
i would also suggest exercising, so people dont eat much after they exercise, i myself tend to eat a lot after i work out (lol) but it may vary depending on the individual. Exersice will also burn off some energy and calories. if you absolutely cant stop eating (which i dont see why) you can try to maintain the amount of food you eat, while exercising. However, i do not suggest this, especially if your goal is to lose weight or live a healthy life style.
-good luck :)
me too. I just cant stop. my meals all kinda merge together into one continuous gluttenous pig out. I've tried filling up on soups, teas, and soft drinks durin the day but then end up over eating at night. Sorry I cant offer any tips coz I have the same problem. Dont tell your parents though coz then they'll tell you your not full coz your vegan/vegetarian.
do something that you enjoy.. so that if you do something, you won't be eating a lot..
seriously try to not eat much for about a week.
then your stomach will shrink and you will get full faster without even trying.
Depends what you are eating, not how often. Plenty of complex carbs like wholemeal pasta, brown rice, veggies ( including raw), salad, fresh fruit, lean meat, wholemeal bread will all fill you up, and keep you feeling full for longer. Sometimes when hunger strikes a larg glass of water can stave off the hunger pangs too, no calories or fat in that!
Another factor is your age; if you are a hungry teenager then it is par for the course, all teenagers, especially males, could eat for the Olympics.
When a hunger attack strikes, wait ten minutes then head for the fruit bowl instead of the fridge!
Since you are posting this in the Vegetarian section, I am assuming that you are not eating meat. If you're new to vegetarianism, then I can see how this would be a problem for you.
Most likely, the reason you are feeling more hungry more often is because you are no longer eating meat, which is where most omnivores get their protein from. Protein is what keeps you feeling fuller, longer.
I think you will find that if you add good protein sources to your meals you will feel full for longer periods of time, and not have to snack of feel hungry during the day.
PROTEIN IN LEGUMES: Garbanzo beans, Kidney beans, Lentils, Lima beans, Navy beans, Soybeans, Split peas, and
PROTEIN IN GRAINS: Barley, Brown rice, Buckwheat, Millet, Oatmeal, Rye, Wheat germ, Wheat, and Wild rice
VEGETABLE PROTEIN: Artichokes, Beets, Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Green peas, Green pepper, Kale, Lettuce, Mushrooms, Mustard green, Onions, Potatoes, Spinach, Tomatoes, Turnip greens, Watercress, Yams, and Zucchini
PROTEIN IN FRUITS: Apple, Banana, Cantaloupe, Grape, Grapefruit, Honeydew melon, Orange, Papaya, Peach, Pear, Pineapple, Strawberry, Tangerine, and Watermelon
Cheese, eggs, milk, peanuts(and peanut butter) tofu, and yogurt are also other great sources of protein.
Try a combinations of these foods at every meal.
Eat everything in moderation and drink plenty of water. Your body will slowly adjust.
Only you can control your diet.
Trust me, your not the only one. Personally, I use to have that EXACT same problem! and it was impossible not to eat, because no matter how big of a meal I just ate, I felt starved. What you need to do is find something entertaining to do, such as a sport, board game, video game, hanging out with friends. It helped me alout.
Good luck!
:D
It sounds like you are not hungry, but BORED! This is typical of people who overeat(Me included).
Do your best to remove yourself from food after eating a meal-Go for a walk, go to the mall, go DO SOMETHING, but try not to sit in front of the TV(Makes you bored). Things that also help: When you are food shopping, make a concious decision to NOT buy the things you can easily snack on(chips, crackers, brownie bites, cookies, etc). This does double duty-The foods won't be there for you to just grab easily at home when you're bored or hungry(and after eating it, you have a regular meal). It also helps you spend less money on preprepared foods, and eat better choices you need to cook. If you are not a big cook, there are lots of easy recipes to help you through-But remove yourself from food areas after you have a meal, go out and DO SOMETHING!!!
I have the same problem and I have noticed it comes up a lot on Y!A.
I am embarking on a new plan and that is to buy a blood glucose meter and see if I can relate my measurements to my appetite. I know if your blood sugar gets to 70 or below you will get shaky (hypoglycemic) and would eat anything to get that feeling to go away.
I am going to try to find out that if I keep it above say, 110 or so if I can stop excessive eating. This will be a great excuse to eat some sweet stuff.LOL My Dad was a Doc and said he used to have people take a swig of honey if they got hypoglycemic. But you can also buy glucose tablets that do the same thing and they are fairly low in calories.
A couple weeks ago a friend gave me a dozen donuts that he had left over from a get together. I usually avoid sweets like that but ended up eating four each day for three days. I remember thinking that I felt great and I think ate less for those three days plus the next day. Maybe I have been avoiding sugar to keep my weight down but then my blood sugar gets low and I eat more????
Low blood sugar is also related to anxiety and mental roadblocks like confusion and faulty memory and I have both of those to a small degree. Wish me luck but if it doesn't work at least it will be fun.
When I was growing up we always had desert but lately I avoid that. I was thin back then and now I'm not. With all that is said about sugar being bad I am beginning to wonder if that is totally true. Maybe a small amount of sweets is okay.
Drink loads of water when you feel hungry, because most of the time when you feel hungry your most likely thirsty.
Also fill up on high protein legumes and beans, and low GI foods.
