Oh, I read that book "cleanse and purify thyself", very interesting. It would be great to try one day, but I think that a good diet will accomplish the same thing, although more slowly over a longer period of time. Same with clogged arteries -- once you start eating better, your body will do it's job and get rid of that stuff.

I found that garlic, onion, etc. do not really affect my breath as far as "Ew, yuck your breath stinks." I find bad breath is mostly caused by improper digestion. It comes from the gut. sure, not brushing one's teeth will contribute, but it's really mostly the smell from the gut. Whether it be meat and junk food clogging one's system, or eating things together that promote indigestion, such as mixing fruit with other foods.

Many people use wheat grass juice for helping to cleanse one's digestion. Well, there are so many things that do this.

Ruffage/fiber cleans your intestines and good oral hygiene keeps your mouth smelling clean.

drink water

Lots of water and [once again] good oral hygiene. I've also noticed that being vegan helps quite a fair bit.

People who suffer from bad gas, breath and foul smelling feces are generally people who eat lots of greasy, fried foods and meat, especially red meats. Our bodies were not meant to digest these things on a regular basis and so they linger in our guts fermenting. The average adult has about 10 pounds of undigested red meat in their gut. If you cut back on meat and start including more greens (the darker or more red the lettuce the more nutrients it has), parsley, kale, cilantro, beans, lentils and fruits with peels on or pith type fruits such as grapefruits and oranges. The skins, piths and lettuces all provide scrubbing action for your gut and vital nutrients for younger, more healthy skin and far less gas and less stinky feces. Change your diet, your friends and family will thank you.

Your right to suspect a clogged up intestine. My partner and I have done a few bowel cleanses and they changed our life.
Basically mucoid plaque collects throughout the digestive tract as our bodies try to buffer the effects of processed foods, particularly meat.
When we did a bowel cleanse (google "cleanse and purify thyself") we both passed over 40 feet of mucoid plaque (It comes out like rubbery rope and smells deathly)
I could say a lot more but you'll find out for yourself.
Good luck and best wishes for better health and sweeter breath.

Bad breath can come from a lot of sources.

Usually, it's a combination of the food you eat and poor oral hygeine. Make sure you brush your teeth and your tongue thoroughly, and rinse your mouth. Make sure you drink lots of water and other liquids.

Avoiding onions and garlic helps. Spices like cinnamon, cloves and parsley sweeten the breath, and herbal bad breath remedies are often made with these ingredients.

You might also have a medical condition like post-nasal drip, where mucous forms in the back of your throat. Your doctor can diagnose it.
