Is there a vegan substitute for honey?!
Answers: agave nectar. Its great!
Corn syrup or a reduced simple syrup made from cane sugar. Molasses would also work
I don't know!!!!!!!! i just did it for d points. MWAHAHAHA!!!!
no just kidding! nectar is delicious.
I use agave nectar. I used to use brown rice syrup, but it's really sticky and the bottle gets nasty. Some people use maple syrup.
try agave syrup
It's similar to honey but made out of a plant
not as such, as far as anything being remotely similar to taste and consistency is concerned. (although since everyone's mentioning agave syrup, i'm going to go try it, thanks!)
people really don't need any sweeteners in their diets, much less animal derived ones, but if you use one i think maple syrup is one good choice of many out there...
(whatever you do, DON'T use corn syrup. it's nasty, and it hardens if you leave it out. it's just pure sweet with no character whatsoever...)
I use agave nectar.
My best and favorite experience with it was on thanksgiving.
I bought a bottle of vegan whip cream in a pressurized can for spraying, and agave nectar.
I then sprayed a pile of whip cream in my mouth (the best way to do it) and topped it off with agave nectar. It just melted and was SOOO delicious!
I think agave has such a great flavor, I hope you try it!
Agave nectar & maple syrup work best. There is also rice syrup.
We use agave also. The taste & consistency are pretty much like honey & it dissolves in cold beverages (unlike honey).
Honey is a waste product from an animal as far as im concerned. It doesnt actually come from the animal.
P.S. EAT A STEAK!!!
agave nectar is very good
No. Honey IS vegan.
